    I think at least part of Santiago's success can be attributed to his willingness to pitch up in the zone. Granted, I'm going by what I've watched this year but it seems he's not so locked into being down in the zone he forgets the strike zone consists of more than just the lower third.

    Van, I think the powers that be should stand pat unless they get a killer offer. I think not dealing Dozier was probably the right move in the off-season. It may very well turn out not making a deal for Santan is the best way to go, too. Overall, with the results the Twins are getting from Santana, it might be a good thing to keep him for next year. Barring injury, I can see another really good year after this year. If it looks like the staff has solidified with the addition of Santiago and Meija, there may not be any reason to move Santana. If anything, Gibson or Hughes should be worrying about getting outright cut, should Berrios continue to dominate. That will be .02 cents, please.

    I spent the money for direct tv extra inning because mlb.tv's streaming is crap this year. It's like a bad version of Max Headroom. Turns out, included with Direct TV Extra Innings is a subscription to mlb.tv. So, I get to cancel my mlb.tv subscription. Somehow, I'm okay with that.

    One: The date cancel line will be great for sympathy pickups. Two: So, you were the backup date? Interesting. Three: 23 years left? Imagine the amount of debt you can run up...and then be like a few other cults and realize, after the DAY passes, that you're now saddled with more debt than you can ever repay.
