  1. This is the worst comment in the thread. We never had pitching, we have Royce Lewis. Iglesias is league average, Shoemaker died on the mound for us.
  2. There is literally no value or point in being in on a top SS options this off-season. Royce Lewis is the answer until further notice, so let’s save the money to use on an Ace like Rondon and snag Iglesias for cheap. The only way we convince Correa to resign is if the market collapses and there isn’t enough interest for him, which I highly doubt.
  3. I agree. And Ober will be back within the next couple weeks down the stretch while Maeda will help with the bullpen come end of September, depending on injury progress,
  4. No thanks on trading Urshela. Now Gary Sanchez for a prospect? Yes please, as long as we get a serviceable backstop.
  5. Expected wins against Detroit. Cant be anything but satisfied this weekend though. Poor Kepler was extremely unlikely but if Byron was playing you know he would’ve gotten clocked and been on the IL for weeks. Will feel bad for Celestino too when he gets optioned for Miguel Sano. Hopefully Sano can prove he isn’t worth the DFA. Lastly, Flash looked great in center today, but I do not like him there normally. Celestino is much stronger there albeit with a weaker bat and more options.
  6. Both Severino and Javier are rule 5 eligible after this year. I expect Severino not to be added nor selected and to start in Wichita next year. This will be Javier’s second time being eligible as he is not an attractive prospect to major league teams. He will probably play out his last year of his minor league deal next year and become a free agent if he is not released beforehand. Lastly, Gray is likely to end the year in Wichita with one more year of protected control before becoming rule 5 eligible (drafted in 2019). He has put up solid numbers and is older than most of his teammates.
  7. If you can trade Miguel Sano for a pair of pants and you don’t have to pay any money to pant’s owner do it.
  8. Rocco got ejected due to his own frustration of keeping all his relievers in too long. It was like he thought the game was over in the fifth inning. Also, DFA Duffey.
  9. We just DFA’ed Vallimont finally and Coloumbe is back but Strotman is still pretty young. His numbers aren’t too encouraging but actually better than last year before today. He’s still more than two years younger than most of the team in St Paul. CES has to prove he can field. 11 errors at third this season??? I dislike power hitters that can’t field at such low levels.
  10. Big bounce back win for Joe Ryan. Hopefully Gary Sanchez can keep this going and who doesn’t love Luis Arraez post game interviews???
  11. Emilio scares me and he is due for regression. His walks will bite him, and Jeffers’ framing and blocking won’t always be there to save him. I trust Duran more, and I’m starting to see Cano flourish. I’d rather have Pagan in less high leverage positions.
  12. 1. I’m so with you that Miranda needs to be back at AAA. Needs some more time. Not too worried long-term. 2. Very excited for Larnach to be back. Should be this week. Who would’ve thought Larnach would be better than Kiriloff this pint last season? 3. Contreras should be optioned this week. Wish he would’ve gotten more of a chance. 4. When Ober comes back Smeltzer will likely be optioned. 5. I want Archer out of the rotation when Ober comes back. Winder should hold onto a spot and we’ll see how Bundy fares next time around. I’d rather have Smeltzer than Archer even though I’m not high on Devin.
  13. First, I think we’re better without early season Sano. Also, I’m really worried about Krilloff and Im not confident he will ever be back to normal with his wrist. Im also not confident on Smeltzer being back in the rotation. He’s a Triple A guy until something drastic occurs.
  14. Good things from young hitters today! Chris Williams is a name that’s been around too! Boy would it be nice to see Blayne Enlow hold it together and stay healthy.
