  1. I disagree on Gordon - we will be gone either this year or next as well as Martin. I believe both will end up traded
  2. I see a good chance that Gordon is a trade chip in spring training with the addition of Taylor and some prospects that aren't far away over in St. Paul
  3. I believe they are taking a gamble that some of these will remain for a few more weeks when they can move Paddock and Lewis to the 60 day IL and create room on the 40 man. Just a hunch
  4. Luis will be missed by the fans. However, give to get. I am still thinking Kepler will be tied with Austin for a RH OF. This puts Miranda in play for 1B and Farmer at 3B until Royce comes back and slots in most likely at 3B. Kiroloff, Polanco, Miranda and Correa around the IN. With Lewis looking to move in at 3B and Lee could be 2B. 1B/DH will be Kirolff, Miranda, Gallo, with Correa taking a breather from the field at times along with Buxton. the other piece is that 3/5 of the rotation is a FA after 2022. Lopez and Paddack are locked in longer so there is some future stability projected
  5. Wasn't Garlick DFA'd? He would have to be added back to the 40 man if he makes the roster or did I miss this.
  6. Great option. If the price is a Single A or AA prospect that won't hurt this is a low risk-high reward move that could pay big dividends.
  7. I agree that he is fun to watch. However if we want pitching we have to give. His skill set is a gap to gap slap hitter and needs to hit .310-.320 to keep his OBS up there. He is limited on defense and thus is expendaple. His knees are a concern, but if we could get a Lopez for a package with Arraez as the lead we need to do this. The Cruz trade was a very good one for the Twins. We all loved Cruz, but the package we received in return was very good and we gave him a shot to pursue a title. I would love to see a Blockbuster where we send Arraez, Kepler and Martin to the Marlins for Lopez and Luzardo
  8. Now we can see a trade coming. Kepler along with either Polanco or Araez will go to Miami for Lopez. They just signed Cueto to take the spot in the rotation. Farmer becomes the utility man
  9. A lot of teams draft SS as they are often the most athletic player on teams and then move them around. I think one playoff team, not sure who, had 7 in their starting lineup last year that were drafted as SS's.
  10. I would like to see Fullmer and Hand added to the BP. Eovaldi would be nice, but price is a question mark. I am in the minority and like the Gallo signing IF Kepler is dealt. Both are winners with the shift going away - and I think Gallo is a better defender and maybe will be allowed to run when he walks. I would like to see us add Brandon Drury as he can play all over the INF and gives us some RH pop at DH
  11. This signing must be paired with a trade of Kepler/Larnach/Austin/Arraez If not it makes no sense. The shift ban will help Gallo and his ability to walk will be a bonus. His K rate will annoy most like Sano did. Arraez is one I don't want to see go the most, but his knees will shorten his career no doubt - we will have to let someone go we like, but that is the price to pay for #1 or 2 to slot into our rotation
  12. Arreaz and Kepler for Lopez would hurt as both hitters will benefit from the shift ban, more so Kepler. However pitching is needed and it will hurt to acquire it.
