    Unless they have a top 10 defense hold up on getting to excited, in 4 weeks theres probably a better chance TCU is outside of the top 25 then there is they remain in the top 5. The Gopher offense isn't horrible but it's not good. A true national title contender takes advantage of all the chances the Gophers gave them to put the game away.

    Get mauer out so sano can play 3rd makes complete sense plus Buxton struck out 4 times so get sano out.

    I don't think that was the wrong call although it appeared the ball went in and out of his glove before Nunez ran through him.

    Jones was already a reserve, now starting for Gordon.

    If Alex Gordon is out I have to assume doizer is a sure thing with or without the vote.

    Considering the twins just need bullpen help assuming sano continues to fill the dh spot you would have to think low level prospects or maybe pinto could do the trick. I wouldn't consider buying a game 1 starter unless the wild card lead grew to at least 4 games but as much as the future should bring great things we have a great shot to make some noise this year.

    Looks like that Paul molitor take the extra base thing hasnt worked out. I'm about done conceading molitor is better then gardenhire.

    I'm hoping he can give me that feeling Pat Neshek gave me in 2006, nothing like a shutdown arm in front of the closer.

    I'll trust the Twins that Buxton can develop at this level over time, but I sure wish he had to hit .275 in triple A for 2+ weeks before getting the call. I know Triple A is where 26+ year olds who don't have major league talent hang around but you also get to face guys of Tommy Milone's talent often. Whats holding Sano back from triple A it just doesn't make sense to me.

    Just a reminder if the season ended today the Twins would be in the playoffs.

    I really like Mauer this year, if you can't think of him as an under $12 million player you'll never be capable of evaluating him from this point forward. When he needs to get you an RBI he's been getting you it. He's also seems to be hitting more long fly balls. He's settled in to being basically Gene Larkin with a lot more double power, I wanted him to still be willing to be the emergency catcher and move around in the field a little that would be huge for his value, but he's settled into being an above average defensive first basemen with room for improvement I expect to see, with a very competent bat and no matter how bad it gets nobody will be shocked if he hit's .430 for a month. He's helping us win games, I wanted to Vargas or Sano get all his at bats after the 1-6 start when it looked like this would be nothing more then a development year but he belongs in the everyday lineup.

    It's the 6th inning unless Molitor hates Arcia and thinks he can somehow teach him something you use that challenge even if you can see clear evidence they got the call right.
