So I’m headed to signature Saturday tomorrow, and I’ve never been to Twins Fest. How does it all work? I’ve got a Correa jersey I’d love for him to sign; will he do it? And as for the rest of the signatures, what should I bring? A baseball? Something else? And lastly how does it all work? The two tables I’m looking at are Correa and Lewis/Martin/Lee/Miranda who are at the same time. Will I be able to get to both tables? Thanks in advance everyone!

Gut Punch! Carlos Correa Signs with the Giants
RedneckRay replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Heyman said the Twins offered 285/10. Theoretically competitive, but realistically had no shot. I personally wouldnt have given Correa 13 years, but I would have offered him 315/10. -

Can the Twins Count On Starter’s Health?
RedneckRay replied to Ted Schwerzler's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
If I’m the FO I’m signing Eovaldi. He’s also had some injury concerns but our depth is pretty good at the moment. He’s got major upside, and I think the Twins can coax some of his velocity back to regain his #1-2 starter potential. He shouldn’t break the bank either.- 21 replies

Could the Twins Pull off a Mega-Deal with the A's?
RedneckRay replied to RedneckRay's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
If I were Falvine Id pull the trigger on that. I think Oakland is going to want a high minors pitcher though -

Could the Twins Pull off a Mega-Deal with the A's?
RedneckRay posted a topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Its no secret that the Twins have been linked to Frankie Montas for a long time now. Falvine has reportedly contacted Oakland's front office about a trade for the starter, but I'm wondering if the Twins could knock out three birds with one stone. Its obvious to everyone that the Twins need pitching help, but now with Ryan Jeffers hurt for 6-8 weeks, the Twins need another catcher to pair with Sanchez. I'm not going to attempt to piece together Oaklands return for a mega package like I'm going to suggest, but that's why this is a forum. Does anyone think the Twins could acquire Frankie Montas, Sean Murphy, and Lou Trivino from Oakland? If so, what would a return look like? It would require a ton of talent going back to Oakland, but with Correa only here for one year lets go all out. What do you think? -

In my opinion, Nelson Cruz had the best years of his career in a Twins jersey. His on field results combined with his clubhouse leadership quickly made him a fan favorite. I have seen some people calling for the Twins to trade for him, so I want to get everyone’s opinions. Would a trade realistically be possible? With the Nationals this year, Cruz started slow but has started to produce more lately, and I’m positive he would produce even more back in Target Field. The only issue is getting ABs for him, or taking ABs away from others. Buxton has gotten a big chunk of the DH ABs so far this year, but the Twins could try to push him more in CF as the year goes on. Sanchez has also gotten DH ABs while Jeffers is catching and has for the most part produced. There’s no doubt we’d all love to see Nelly back in the Twin Cities, but would it make sense?

Week in Review: Wearing Thin

Lewis needs regular playing time. This probably gets him 3 starts a week, which just isn’t enough for him -

Is this sarcastic I hope? Lewis has been so hyped up, came up and delivered in his first stint, and you want to start Gordon over him? He will not be an OFer for his full career, even though he has the skill set to do so. You don’t keep a guy that has shown he is capable of producing in the MLB in AAA on a team with a overall subpar offense. Correa obviously isn’t getting bumped off SS, Urshela has played platinum glove D at 3rd, and there’s not enough consistent starts at 2B. This leaves the Twins to play him in the outfield. It definitely won’t cause his career to be “ruined,” as you claim. -
I’d put Kepler #1 here. As good as Buxton has been, the resurgence of Kep has been absolutely outstanding, and in my mind, a big reason the Twins are where they are in the standings.

I’ll keep it relatively simple: 1. Kyle Garlick should be on the roster now that Kiriloff is out 2. I could see Archer preforming very well this year, and I think Paddack will do better than what we saw. However, I don’t expect Bundy will be much more than a #5 guy 3. As others have said, this lineup is way too streaky. Urshela needs to be the everyday 3B, while Arraez DHs. I wish Rocco would be more comfortable playing Areaez in LF, it would make it much easier to get him consistent ABs. 4. As for our catching tandem, I think Jeffers and Sanchez should be about 50/50. Sanchez has surprisingly looked pretty good behind the plate, and has earned compliments from our pitchers so far. He also is looking pretty good at the plate. Could be someone that Twins fans come to love I think.

In my opinion, there is nothing Upton does better than Garlick. Garlick stepped in in CF when Buxton was hurt and while it wasn't great, it wasn't terrible either. Garlick is slightly above average playing corner OF, and demolishes lefties. Upton is below average everywhere, and while I know he is a bench player at this point, I still would prefer that we pass on him. On a different note, Garlick would've been nice to have up for this Dodgers to see if he could crack Heaney or Kersh.

This gave me flashbacks to last years first two weeks. Heartbreaking loss, especially after getting all fired up about Buck. Duffey shouldn’t be closing ballgames for us and that’s that. He has shown he is a good set up guy, and he should stay in that role. To me, early on I want to Alcala and Pagan closing, and if Duran has a couple more good outings start working him in there as well. Hopefully Rocco learns from today. Starting off 0-2 is not great, but forget about it and end off the series at 500.

This is spot on. It would look great with the addition of a true #1. I really think the Twins have to make a trade to get an ace, especially because this front office saw how things went last year.
