  1. I think they'll give Kenta the initial nod in the 5th spot. If he truly has no limitations in camp, they're going to give him every opportunity to get a starting role. I think Ober to Triple-A, a bullpen role with the big league club may not benefit him. Give long relief role to Winder.
  2. Good Evening, aTwinsFanInMaryland here tonight with your game thread as the season comes to a disappointing close this week. One positive thing we can still cheer for this evening is Luis Arraez and his quest for the batting title. He is currently .006 points ahead of Aaron Judge (at least that’s what my public school math says). Dan Hayes, Twins writer from The Athletic, has it broken down even further. The Pitchers: RHP #74 Josh Winder (4-5, 4.31 ERA, 45K’s) vs RHP #27 Lucas Giolito (10-9, 5.00 ERA, 173K’s) The Lineup: Twins: 1. Luis Arraez DH 2. Carlo Correa SS 3. Gio Urshela 3B 4. Nick Gordon 2B 5. Jose Miranda 1B 6. Ryan Jeffers C 7. Jake Cave LF 8. Gilberto Celestino CF 9. Matt Wallner RF White Sox: 1. Elvis Andrus SS 2. Yoán Moncada 3B 3. José Abreu 1B 4. Eloy Jiménez DH 5. Gavin Sheets RF 6. AJ Pollock LF 7. Yasmani Grandal C 8. Romy Gonzalez 2B 9. Adam Engel Draft Kings Odds: Twins (+120) White Sox (-190) o/u 7.5 I hope you all have enjoy the threads I've put out to you this year. This was my first year participating and I've enjoyed bringing these to you. Have a good offseason.
  3. Good Day, aTwinsFanInMaryland here today with your game thread. The big news of today came this morning with confirmation that Alex Kirilloff will undergo season ending surgery to shorten his ulna, you’re guess is a good us mine as to what that is. This surgery means the Twins number one and number two prospects have undergone season ending surgery this year. Roster Moves: No roster moves to report today The Pitchers: RHP #17 Chris Archer (2-5, 4.05 ERA, 62K’s) vs RHP #34 Kevin Gausman (8-8, 3.06 ERA, 132K’s) The Lineup: Twins: 1. Luis Arraez DH 2. Jorge Polanco 2B 3. Max Kepler RF 4. Jose Miranda 1B 5. Nick Gordon SS 6. Gio Urshela 3B 7. Jake Cave LF 8. Gilberto Celestino CF 9. Gary Sanchez C Blue Jays: 1. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. LF 2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. DH 3. Alejandro Kirk C 4. Teoscar Hernandez RF 5. Bo Bichette SS 6. Matt Chapman 3B 7. Raimel Tapia CF 8. Santiago Espinal 2B 9. Cavan Biggio 1B Draft Kings Odds: Twins (+160) Blue Jays (-190) o/u 8 On This Day In Twins History:
  4. Good Evening, aTwinsFanInMaryland here tonight with your game thread. The big news of today came on the coaching front as we saw Pete Maki take over the reigns at pitching coach, along with Colby Suggs being promoted to bullpen coach. These moves come on the heals of the shocking Wes Johnson departure. Roster Moves: One set of roster moves today as we saw Tyler Thornburg designated for release or assignment. Taking his place on the active roster is Juan Minaya, whose contract was selected from the Saint Paul Saints. The Pitchers: RHP #41 Joe Ryan (6-3, 3.20 ERA, 53K’s) vs RHP #80 Spenser Watkins (1-1, 5.14 ERA, 18K’s) The Lineup: Twins: 1. Luis Arraez DH 2. Byron Buxton CF 3. Carlos Correa SS 4. Max Kepler RF 5. Jorge Polanco 2B 6. Jose Miranda 1B 7. Alex Kirilloff LF 8. Gio Urshela 3B 9. Ryan Jeffers C Orioles: 1. Cedric Mullins CF 2. Austin Hayes RF 3. Anthony Santander DH 4. Ryan Mountcastle 1B 5. Adley Rutschman C 6. Rougned Odor2B 7. Ryan McKenna LF 8. Jonathan Arauz 3B 9. Jorge Mateo SS Draft Kings Odds: Twins (-230) Tigers (+195) o/u 9.5 On This Day In Twins History:
  5. The Twins have now reached 30 wins on the season. They did not get their 30th win until June 20th last season they had 41 losses at that point.
  6. Good Day, aTwinsFanInMaryland here today with one thread for two games against the Detroit Tigers. The big news of the day is Carlos (C4) Correa landed on the COVID-IL, joining fellow teammates Joe Ryan & Gilberto Celestino (insert look of disgust). Also, in Game 2, we will see Roger Clemens youngest son, Kody, make his MLB debut for the Tigers. Roster Moves: With Correa on the COVID-IL, we will see the MLB debut of Jermaine Palacios in game 1 today, playing shortstop. Important to note, because of COVID-IL rules, Palacios can be removed from the 40-man at a later time without having to clear waivers. Also, Cole Sands was added to the active roster as the 27th man for the double header. The Pitchers: GAME 1: LHP #31 Devin Smeltzer (1-0, 1.04 ERA, 8K’s) vs RHP #51 Rony García (0-0, 3.00 ERA, 22K’s) GAME 2: RHP #21 Cole Sands (0-0, 6.75 ERA, 6K’s) vs LHP #43 Joey Wentz (0-1, 20.25 ERA, 1K) quick note: Devin Smeltzer is coming off of an excellent outing against the Royals! He went 7 innings gave up only 2 hits and gave up zero runs. Look for him to build upon the momentum he has gained. Cole Sands will pitch the second game of the double header. With Sands making his MLB debut this season he has yet to face the Tigers. The Lineup: (Game 2 Lineup will be posted later in today’s thread) Twins: 1. Luis Arraez 1B 2. Byron Buxton CF 3. Max Kepler DH 4. Jorge Polanco 2B 5. Trevor Larnach RF 6. Gary Sánchez C 7. Nick Gordon LF 8. Gio Urshela 3B 9. Jermaine Palacios SS Tigers: 1. Willi Castro LF 2. Jonathan Schoop 2B 3. Miguel Cabrea DH 4. Javier Báez SS 5. Jeimer Candelario 3B 6. Spencer Torkelson 1B 7. Eric Haase C 8. Daz Cameron RF 9. Derek Hill CF Draft Kings Odds: GAME 1: Twins (-145) Tigers (+125) o/u 8.5 GAME 2: Twins (-140) Tigers (+120) On This Day In Twins History:
