"The best team out there" is AK in LF. Zero% chance he won't be there opening day in Milwaukee. Now that sounds like a great plan! What could go wrong?
I like Doc Bauer's take on the 8-9 slots. Simmons has a high career OBP and Buxton has a higher BABIP so to me it makes sense to bat Simmons in front of Buxton.
By the end of 2021, we will have a great preview of all the young studs that will be winning for the next decade. AK, Rook, Larnach, Lewis and Sabato. Finding a place to play them all in the field is going to be a huge challenge!
2020 isn't a year that I would spend any time looking at for stats indicator for future performance. By July, we only need a couple guys to find their groove. Trust in Wes Johnson... Our BP will be just as good as the last 2 years.
I'm excited about all the young bullpen arms and how with MiLB options, the bullpen is more like 13 deep. It's interesting how fans don't understand that 23-29 year old guys continue to develop their skills. Out of the stock pile we have, we only need a couple shut pitchers for high leverage situations to win 100 games.
Someone needs to throw him a thousand sinkers down and away until he lays off the ones in the dirt and slashes the rest into the right field corner. He'd probably win a batting title
What happens if Buck is healthy all season and plays 140+ games? Arraez gets enough at bats to win the batting title since no position player will get more than 150 games. AK gets left field in May. Rooker gets 4th out fielder most of the season. Cave gets traded as soon as another team needs a big league ready OF. Broxton and Garlick will be in St.Paul or waived. Larnach will be in St Paul with Blankenhorn but both will be in a Twins uniform at some point this season. La torga will be in St.Paul until Garver or Jeffers gets hurt.... Everything changes if Buck goes down.

I don't even care about the 0-18. What are the next 18 playoff games going to be? 1991 was worst to first. 2021 could likely be world series champion MN Twins! We have plenty of talent thru out the whole team. I do find it amusing how there is always someone that will nitpick something about every player. Back in the 80s and 90s we were built by the farm system. We are finally back to that so we will have many successes thru out the next decade. How many teams in MLB have a serious chance at going 18-0 in their next 18 playoff games maybe 4 or 5? I'd include the Twins in that discussion.
If simmons goes down for a lengthy time... You will see Royce Lewis playing SS. I'd like to see the fwar comparison of every subtraction and every addition. That tweet is meaningless.
All but 6 teams are playing budget ball in 2021. I am very excited for our chances of going deep into the playoffs! We have a great mix of solid vets and developing young stars. Getting an extra option year for Thorpe is a nice surprise! Having the AAA at midway is beyond exciting. I'll definitely be spending time there!!!
Odo would be great! I suspect that the FO wants a young arm or 3 to make spot starts and fill in long relief. If Thorpe shows well in spring training, he will be on the 26 man opening day. Doing simple math, 120 starts for the top 4 leaves 42 other starts for 3 or 4 other guys to split up between April and September. It's a team game!!!
