  1. From the article: "Dobnak's finger injury is complex, especially for a pitcher that relies heavily on a sinker. He has ruptured two of the pulleys in his finger, which means he relies on three instead of five" Then, he is not healthy. He is trying to pitch nursing his injury the best he can. So, unfortunately, the chances that he will be back are really low.
  2. Actually what the report says is that the Marlins are after Gurriel, and somehow the Twins are involved. It isn't clear at all that Gurriel is going to come to the Twins
  3. I don't see this as something against the umpires. I see this as a helpful tool to do an almost impossible job better. Welcome.
  4. The issue of the ankle is one that there is lots of talk, lots of information spread, but very little relevant information known (as it should be, because of HIPAA). So, the Twins have the information and decided to go ahead with this deal. We, as fans, have to trust what they are doing. We'll see what happens 2 or 3 years down the road.
  5. Great. And good deal too. I think now the priority will be to build a good bullpen around Duran. Some right hand hitting outfielder too, and some starting pitching depth?
  6. From a technical pitching point he can help the Twins. True that he hasn't been convicted of anything. However, have you ever worked with someone who has a bad behavior? That constantly creates problems? It is a nightmare and usually results in an overall decrease in performance by the team, even when the individual is talented. For that reason, I say no.
  7. According to the article, the Twins are more willing to take risks. Of course. After all, we never had problems with injured players, did we??
  8. Of course, if the Twins get Correa is a big win for the Twins. But I am skeptical. Consider the source: Heyman, otherwise known as "The voice of Boras".
  9. As others suggested, third base seems to be covered by Miranda and Gordon as a utility. If we are going to bring new players, the areas should be right handed outfielder, maybe, given the Correa pipedream disappointment, another shortstop, and pitching, especially bullpen. Although an extra good started wouldn't be bad. But I said bullpen because the bullpen was what, together with injuries, derailed the 2022 season.
  10. I like Correa, but committing 8-10 years with a huge contract, while having some of the best prospects playing the same position (Lewis, Martin, Lee) and with other needs in sight (catcher, more pitching), I don't think is wise.
  11. For ex Yankees out fielders, we might not have Judge, but we have Jake Cave. Ain't the same??
  12. I normally don't agree with Rocco's critics. I think he is a decent manager. But the last few games are showing a team that has lost any sense of dignity. You'll be on vacation in a couple of weeks for 6 months. Come on, some effort!
  13. I am starting to think that it is a pity that Correa's option is not a mutual one.
  14. I would say we need to have a little patience. Many were down on Gordon after a couple of bad years...and yesterday he practically won the game by himself for us. I am not saying that all 3 will succeed for the Twins, but, if you don't have to buy the hype for every prospect, you don't have to buy the doom either.
