Sano not exactly working any counts tonight, I was less than impressed with his 1 swing AB with the bases loaded a couple of innings ago, especially after Mauer walked on 5 pitches.
The rule is completely open to interpretation and is at the umpire's discretion, in situations like that it's never going to get called. I get why they did it but it's pretty much a non rule.
I agree it appears he was but technically the rule is the catcher can't block the "pathway" of the runner,without the ball. Dozier clearly had a lane to the plate.
