  1. How do the Twins keep putting up terrible production from major league players. Cody Stashak is a prime example. Why is he in the major and pitching in meaningful games? Why must we watch him to try and find himself at this level. Isn't that what the minor leagues are for?
  2. Everybody agrees there is plenty of blame to go around. More important is what happens next. Last night was a great start to a new chapter of the season. Hopefully the Twins will build on that. Learn from the past - live in the present.
  3. Rocco has repeatedly said he has no set closer. So why won't he try a different option? His usage of Colome indicates he is Rocco's closer. He is terrible at holding runners close to first base. I don't think he has thrown over there yet this year and has at least 2 runners steal off him.
  4. Besides his on the field contributions he will add much to the Twin's clubhouse. He is a fierce competitor on the field but a very loose and fun loving guy off the field. Here's to his good health for the upcoming years.
  5. Agreed. If the Twins trade for Ray and they only have him for 1 season that is not so bad. That is assuming the price they pay is not too steep and I can't see the FO doing that. One more year gives our top 2 SP prospects another year to develop. As others have said the best way to get top notch SP is internally. A short term solution is better than overpaying and having to pay an over the hill pitcher the last years of a contract.
  6. I don't believe I used the word useful. My point whether you agree or not is that 2 more years of Rosario are worth more than to trade him for a #3 or #4 pitcher with little history of success and having a good chance of being mediocre at best.
  7. Rosario is a middle of lineup hitter who has proved himself at the highest level. Why do we want to trade him for a potential #3 starter who has very little success at the highest level.I understand the pipeline is full and Eddie only has 2 years left but as everyone is saying the window is open now. I think we need the everyday player who has the track record much more than a starting pitcher who potentially could help us.
  8. I feel that with Trevor Bauer and Robbie Ray playing on non playoff teams that we could add a starter at the trade deadline that is as good or better that what is left in free agent pool.
  9. Agree. Would never trade an everyday with Rosario's production for a young SP. Also NL pitching stats do not transfer to AL. They never seem to be as good. The 2 years we have Rosario are 2 years the window is open. Go FA or get an over paid SP like Price where they have to include a player.
