    Romo gave us hope and the bullpen’s improvement seems to have coincided with his arrival. Kepler and Polanco for offense and defense. Cruz for nickname, offense, and leadership. Kepler gets the nod for 5 straight homers off Bauer, sending him packing to the NL. Sweet Schadenfreude to last years.

    Giants traded 4 relievers today. That’s of interest to us Mahtomedi MN folks because 6’11” alumni Sean Hjelle is pitching for the San Jose Giants (A-Advanced). He likely moved up a few spots today! Yes, that was a call.

    There’s no tieing in baseball! In my eyes, they needed to tie the game first, then win it with a mighty Sano hit. Well, maybe someone in the top of the 9th would have gotten that hit.

    I was irked that Arraez doubled with no outs in the 8th, but Garver wasn’t asked to bunt him to third. Fundamental baseball - give yourselves a chance to tie on a sac fly instead of needing a base hit. Gonzales fly out would have done it.
