  1. At the very least, the Twins need to come away with at least 2 middle inning relievers who are major league average or better. There's lots of those guys around that wouldn't cost that much in return. And I mean 2 guys who can handle high leverage situations. Now, maybe they'll be grizzled vets who are on loan, I don't care, at least we'd have a shot in that scenario.
  2. I guess it's all about the spin rate on his slider and good control of his breaking balls. His experience will be important as well in the pen. If he can hold his own as he has in Miami, should give Rogers what he needs in avoiding overuse.
  3. Don't know if he'll ever be great at strike recognition, but I think he's a bit behind of the other hitters on the club because he got such a late start due to his injury rehab. Personally, I think a big reason for the success of our hitting this year is the coaching staff. Scouting of opposing pitchers has been outstanding, getting keys to what to look for and such. Strangely, maybe Wes Johnson has had just as positive effect on our hitters as he has on our pitchers.
  4. I've bee watching velocity on his fastball. It's generally down from what it was in April and May.
  5. His stuff looks good, and I really haven't noticed his curve. He'll develop into a good mlb pitcher, I have little doubt.
  6. Yeah, I think batting him 6th or 7th is ideal for this team. Gives the guys in front of him a little better pitches to hit, and really, Sano's gonna be pitched the same no matter where he is in the order anyway.
  7. I think there is something to be said for giving the current crop of relievers and minor league callups the innings for a while to see what we have before making a major trade for a reliever. Let things settle out a bit first.
  8. Sounds like he's known for his control and a solid curveball, decent fastball
  9. I'd love to see us swing for the fences with a high upside power pitcher like Jackson Rutledge if he's there at our pick.
