Daniel Anderson's Achievements

  1. MLB network did a feature and had an interview with his brother Ethan, the top international signee last month - very impressive young man. Hopefully talent and poise run in the family.
  2. I would like to see him bat leadoff every day in St. Paul and play left field. Instead of an Arraez comp I see his speed making his potential more like Stephen Kwan - high on base with lots of stolen bases and don't worry about the power.
  3. Just verified one of my favorite pieces of trivia on Baseball Reference - that was Bobby Keppell's only major league win.
  4. Watching the playoffs last year I remember thinking how much I envied Cleveland for having Kwan as their leadoff hitter for the next many years. I'd go with Buck and hope he stays healthy enough to cause chaos on the bases.
  5. Really isn't a great option to start the year, but I'm hoping a light went on in the Fall League and by midseason it can be Martin. His base stealing would be a great asset at leadoff.
  6. Yes. With the rule changes coming up this team desperately needs more speed.
  7. Twins were last in MLB in steals last year and Martin had 34 in Wichita and 10 in the Fall League. I sure hope his bat comes around so they can add his speed, especially with the rule changes coming up. Even if there is no obvious position for him right now having Martin and Gordon as your two extra players would give the team a lot of desirable speed and defensive flexibility.
  8. I believe Joe Ryan was 10 - 0 vs the AL Central in 2022, with an ERA around 1.5. Regardless of the relative weakness of the division that is impressive.
  9. The first at bat I ever saw from Larnach was in the college world series right after the Twins drafted him and he hit a line drive homer to left center. Back then he was known as a line drive to all fields hitter, but it seems he has turned into more of a pull hitter with a lot more strike out in his game. I remember thinking that here is a guy who could lead the league in doubles with 15 - 20 homers per year, but the approach seems to have changed. I wonder if the organization encouraged him to alter his swing to produce more power.
  10. I hope the Twins are checking with SD on what a trade for seemingly extra infielder Kim would cost them. With the upcoming rules changes I think it's important that they become athletic, and Kim at SS with a Martin-Buxton-Lewis outfield by the end of the year would be a major step in that direction.
