  1. I'll say # 1 and 3. Plus, in July they trade a few of their best prospects for a frontline starter and bullpen piece.
  2. With Marwin's ability to play infield they don't necessarily need Blankenhorn, and an extra-inning speedster might make the most sense.
  3. well thought out, and you might be right. It only takes a couple extra-inning close plays at the plate to be worth the roster spot, and we'll generally have a good hitter or two on the bench to sub in if it doesn't work.
  4. I'd like to see what happens when the season starts. Let's not forget Eddie has stretches when he carries the team.
  5. If they add Balazovic to the 60.... that likely means he's getting traded. I hope he stays off of it this year!
  6. Teams know this trading issue when making their 60-man roster. I think a bunch of huge trades will go down.
  7. 48-12, and they'll break a bunch of records (with asterisks of course).
  8. I really like the 30-man roster. This team is going to have an attitude and they will be hard to beat. Let's hope a couple of the new relievers work out.
  9. It's going to be fun, and the Twins are pretty well positioned. I think they'll win it all!
  10. Since Cavaco's ceiling (so far) looks like Nick Gordon and Sabato's looks like Rooker without the defense, why are they above those guys?
  11. Definitely yes to all of it in 2020, whatever they can do to get on the field, even if there are no fans. And one day we can all look back on it and... maybe laugh? And I vote to keep the Universal DH going forward. It is going to happen someday soon anyway.
  12. The bigger nightmare would be doing nothing and finding out after the fact that doing nothing caused the virus to spread and kill people. Pretty sure they can figure out a way to reschedule things, especially now that they have the time. The world economy is going to have issues for awhlie, and every business including MLB will be affected financially regardless.
  13. Maeda will help, but Hill and Pineda are the two starters signed for the playoff games in Yankee stadium. A combo of Berrios, Odorizzi and Maeda can handle the games at Target Field. And that gives us a great chance, which is about all you can hope for in February.
  14. We're comparing him to Trout? Dear lord. For now we can start by comparing him to Nick Gordon, then maybe move him up the comparison ladder if he happens to be better than Nick. That's about 50-50 at this point, and I'd give Gordon the better floor and better chance at a long major league career.
  15. The Twins are the perfect situation for him. He could be the missing piece to the start of the season. He'd be competing with Dobnak, Smeltzer, Thorpe, and Bailey for 3 roster spots.
  16. Eddie is a predator and he makes the lineup better. You can squint and see Larnach or Kiriloff having good numbers in replacement, but Eddie is a huge part of the team and I don't think he goes away as easy as people think.
  17. I'd be willing to bet the Pete Rose lifetime ban has prevented a whole bunch of managers from betting on baseball. I see your point because obviously things come up later and I think Rose should be forgiven at this point, but: effective.
