    Plus, with Taylor, they can DH Buck more without losing defense in CF. That might mean 20-25 more games in the batting order for Buck.

    The question is: what is the shelf life of a player who got this surgery in 2014? The Twins knew about what the ankle looked like and figured about 18-20 years is about right and offered 10 years. The Giants & Mets were not privy to the info before reaching deals with Boras. If they knew what the ankle looked like, would they have offered a 13 & 12 year contract, respectively?

    Because most teams see teams don't want players to change their approach to hitting because of a shift. That might screw up their swings. Plus the shifting team is saying a single to the opposite field is better than a double in the gap or a home run.
