The Case to Bring Back Miguel Sanó
Einheri replied to Jeremy Nygaard's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
If he's willing to sign a minor-league deal, then sure. I'd let him bat in St. Paul and work on getting a call-up. Personally, I think he would be better off financially going overseas to join La Tortugo and wow the Japanese with his size and strength and work his way back to the Bigs in that way.- 55 replies

Twins Claim RHP Oliver Ortega Off Waivers from Angels
Einheri replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I've been hoping that Enlow makes it for a long time now. I guess the Twins either think that he will never make it or they're hoping he passes through unclaimed now that roster spaces have been filling up. -

Well… if he's cheap enough, go ahead. No sense otherwise. -

Yeah, there's some happy ground between where the Twins are and where a better Twins team could be--and without spending all that much more money, but obviously some more, maybe 10%? And spend it wisely.

Offseason Status Update: Time to Pivot

Looks like coal for Christmas this year in Minnesota; plus, the neighbors won't want me burning any coal to keep warm. And it doesn't taste too good.- 38 replies

Gut Punch! Carlos Correa Signs with the Giants

Oh, well. Twins can probably afford Nathan Eovaldi and Elvis Andrus. Do we want them? -
What We Know About the Twins and Dansby Swanson
Einheri replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Near the end of the 2022 season, I thought maybe that the Twins could get Swanson for significantly less than Correa, but now I am no longer so sure of that. Either player would be nice, but Carlos has built-in we-know-him-already appeal, and he is a significant presence on and off the field. The team already likes him. And I think he's a better fit (and he's more likely to sign a contract to be in Minnesota). Still, neither player will come cheaply, and it's hard to imagine the Twins Organization paying high-price extended salaries for either of them. That said, I suspect that they have made a pretty good offer already for Correa, and I doubt that--beyond tweaking the specifics of it much further (opt outs, performance incentives, etc.)--their offer will change or increase much. So, it comes down to what the other teams offer him--and how long the Twins are willing to wait on him before they have to make other offers. -
How did your preseason win prediction go?
Einheri replied to wsnydes's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Even with all of the injuries, if the front office had seriously addressed the bullpen in the off season, they still might have made the post season. -
How did your preseason win prediction go?
Einheri replied to wsnydes's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
They did worse than I expected. I predicted a .500 team and that's pretty much what we got. They only looked good the first two months because the rest of the Division was so terrible. -
Will the Twins pick up Gio Urshela's 3rd Arbitration year? He's currently making $6.5M or so. As Correa will opt out and Lewis isn't around for awhile (hopefully will be back healthy and soon), Gio could fill in at Shortstop in a pinch. Do the Twins plan to more Miranda back to 3rd or what? Lot of questions and who knows how healthy Arraez and Polanco will be?

Carlos Correa Makes His Decision Clear
Einheri replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
No one reasonably expected him to be a Twin in 2023 unless he got hurt or really sucked in 2022. Good luck to him.
