  1. No offense to Gibson. The guy is gutsy, and not a quitter. But he needs to focus on his health. The team needs to. Perez......I got nothing. I have zero faith this guy can be marginally effective against a real playoff team. There is zero margin for error when dealing with a team like the Yankees in the postseason. Give me the unknown in this case, because that’s how the great baseball tales truly start.
  2. How’s the time to see what your prospects are made of. Do you wanna see Phil Hughes types blocking potential game changing pitchers just because they have so much money into them? I sure as hell don’t.
  3. If the Twins lose the division by one game I can count a number of messy losses as the culprit. It's baseball, don't read too much into a bad game here and there. Just the same as the "worst" team in baseball can very much win one here and there against good teams. From their perspective most teams above them are good. They've won 42 games, 23 of them against .500 clubs or better. It happens.
  4. They were saying on eddies bunt attempt he left the batters box. I personally think he did a little but he made a conscious effort to stay in. Basically they were crying because another team may have caught a break that caused them to lose. Oh well, sucks to be them.
  5. Theres absolutely no reason for Astudillo in the corner OF when you have Gonzalez available to do it.
  6. Astudillo would've been a regular under Gardenhire. That's all I have to say.
  7. No reason to keep trotting out Santana after this, yes he's owed alot of money still. But he's not going to regain that velocity. Need to give his starts to a young guy.
  8. Thats why Im not bothered by anything this FO is doing, this organization was in terrible shape when they took over. These things take time. Theyre trying to build a consistent competitive team with a constant pipeline of prospects that can keep coming up.
  9. Sano and Buxton are very talented, but honestly it's time to shift the plans away from them. If they turn it around, great. If not you need to steer the ship past them. I believe guys can be very successful at the majors through grit and hard work, and that's what it takes for all of these guys, talented or not. But some guys have it, and some dont. It happens.
  10. Eduardo is one twin that had a huge impression on me as a twins fan. About the time he came to the twins I got front row third base seats at coors field to watch the twins(back when Gardy was still around). Escobar was the only player that stood by us for what seemed like an hour doing autographs for everybody who wanted them, interacting with all the fans that he could. He’s a great person and a great professional, I’m proud to have him on this team and I want to see him be a twin in the future.
  11. I don't buy into Lynn not giving a crap. The guy has to settle in and pitch well or he'll be lucky to get a 1/couple mill deal. He's probably just trying to hard or just getting creamed by AL hitting.
  12. yea those guys are rally killers for sure. So sick of seeing guys like those in the lineup
  13. I tried it about two years ago and they claimed they had to charge like 70 cents for it. I used to do it when they had dollar mcdoubles, at that time the big mac sauce was free.
  14. The white sox might be a bottom basement team with alot of issues but don't discount the fact that they really want to beat the Twins, especially in front of their home crowd. It came down to finally getting timely ABs and taking advantage of mistakes that a young inexperienced team makes. Not gonna read too much into this win and say the Twins have turned a corner but it's baseball and all good stretches start somewhere.
  15. Finally got back to ND, was at the saturday game. Good to see a win there, but man. This team is going into a tailspin they need to recover from quick. Just goes to show you can't just plug in cheap veterans in the offseason and expect to improve. It's still early, but they're not playing like a good team, let alone a team.
