  1. Ok, Kiriloff with another run of the mill night going 4-4. Would love to see him in the Arizona Fall League and he really should be starting the 2019 season in Chattanooga.
  2. Kirilloff needs to be at AA. Sure, he's riding a hot streak, but he also has 18 hits in his last 29 ABs with low K rate. (He's also gotten 9 hits in his last 11). That's not a fluke... he's not being challenged. It's a waste of time to have him in Ft. Myers at this point.
  3. Unpopular opinion: Lewin Diaz isn't a top 20 prospect. Extremely excited for Kirilloff to hopefully get the call up to FTM soon! He's been raking and deserves it. Also nice to see Arraez heating up in FTM right now. He's had great success every year in the minors thus far in his young career. Nice to see him getting that feel back.
  4. I like the pick! Larnach is a really really good hitter who can swing the stick for both average and power. Let's just hope he doesn't have success this weekend and that this is his last weekend playing college baseball.
  5. I'd go college arm with the players left on the board. Either Kowar or McClanahan sound like great options right now.
  6. Not much of a Rolison fan. Would rather we not take him.
  7. Praying that either Singer or Liberatore somehow stay on the board for our pick. That would be HUGE.
  8. Agreed. He is extraordinary defensively but if Buxton keeps proving he can't be a serviceable big league hitter I think that leaves the door open if Wade takes advantage of an opportunity/opening in the next few years. If Wade proves himself in the next few years and Buxton never gets it going it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Buxton soon becomes a 4th outfielder or gets sent packing. Too much talent coming up in the outfield between Kiriloff and Wade for Buxton to keep stumbling over the next year or two.
  9. Not the nicest thing to say but Robbie Grossman is almost worthless to this team. He really provides nothing of value other then just being an extra body.
  10. I'm going to go on record stating that Buxton turned out to be a gigantic failure. He will likely never have a plus bat at the major league level and that's a franchise crusher from the standpoint that he is a former #1 draft pick and #1 prospect and was expected to be a perennial all-star. The organization and especially us fans have been pretty darn patient with the guy and have even noted special circumstances in players slow in their development. The fact is that its his 4th MLB season now and he looks just as lost at the plate as he did when he broke into the league. Barring significant developments, I just don't see how he's going to be a special player/organization changer outside of his defensive prowess.
  11. Would be thrilled if this were to be the case. Rooker IMO is a great pick and someone who could fill in excellent as our everyday 1st baseman/DH when Mauer is on his way out or left fielder if he is ready before then (which is more likely). His bat is probably near major league ready at this point. Lewis, Rooker, and Carlson would be a very solid start to the draft. Although I'd like alot more starting pitching. Hopefully our 3rd/4th round draft picks are starting pitchers tomorrow.
  12. We could be headed towards a date with destiny in drafting local boy Sam Carlson at #35 coming up here.... stay tuned.
  13. There's not a dang pitcher besides Santana and Berrios on this roster that I trust to give us a quality outing. That's sad!
  14. It's like the Twins don't realize that the Twins have a 21 year old SS Nick Gordon (our top prospect I might add) hitting .311 at AA. Add in Palacios as his viable running mate in the middle infield and with a dire need for starting pitching in the coming years, we instead draft a player at a position we don't need who is likely 4-5 years out?? Not to say this guy won't pan out, because obviously none of us can truly project what he'll develop into, but you're essentially playing around with a #1 overall pick to save a mil or so in an effort to hope a big time name slips to #35/37. We all have an opinion, and my opinion is that this is a poor move. Than again, my opinion is worth nothing. We'll see how this all plays out in the coming years. I sure hope I'm wrong!
