  1. Hey now, DSP also said he's very excited for the future and he doesn't say that very often!
  2. You can tell how old a Twins fan is by how much they buy rumors like this. The younger you are, the more you allow it to happen. I've seen this movie before, and the Twins NEVER get the girl.
  3. For me, the numbers are more about what will get people to bet on a given team, not necessarily the exact number of wins they are predicting. (This makes more sense in my small brain than it does typed out).
  4. "It doesn't make sense to overspend on relief pitchers." Man, some Twins fans/writers have Stockholm Syndrome. The Twins ownership can certainly afford to spend more than they currently do, and there is no cap in baseball so there is no such thing as overspending, IMO.
  5. Lance Lynn and Logan Morrison are exactly the kinds of names the Twins would bring in if they were in contention.
  6. I am glad Rosario has been hitting better lately, but he is a liability in the field. He has become enamored with his own arm strength and routinely seems to cost the Twins runs by throwing to the wrong base or making other mistakes. For me, Rosario is a low-ceiling, streaky player. If you can get something of value for him, I personally think they should do it.
  7. I made this same point last week on my radio show (that Rosario is expendable) and that night he hit three home runs. So, I'll take a "wait and see" approach this time.
  8. I agree that attendance would not be directly affected. However, I think that buzz and fan interest would rise, leading to more brand awareness and positive press for team that needs it at this point. 16k for a first place team last night (yes, it was a Monday).
  9. Long time reader, first time commenter. I think the Twins had to take Greene. For one, it generates a ton of fan interest and judging by the crowds lately they could use it. Second, no one faults the Twins for taking Greene if he flames out. The situation is similar to the Wolves and Derrick Williams. Yeah, he flopped but he was the obvious choice. No need to overthink it.
