The winning streak is over. Tampa Bay ambushed Dylan Bundy right out of the gate, building a six-run lead in the first three innings, on their way to blowing out the Twins in the series opener.

The Twins have navigated through a demanding schedule in April. There’s a considerable buzz surrounding the club as they sit in first place in the American League Central. Here are three reasons to believe in the 2022 Twins.

Stopping by CHS Field today to cover the St. Paul Saints (it really is great that they’re right down the street from the Twins), there were two points of intrigue. The starting pitcher and left fielder are where fans of the big league club should draw their attention.

The melancholy Minnesota sports fans reeling from Timberwolves and Wild losses earlier in the evening who decided to flip their TVs over to catch the ending of the Twins game were treated to one of the most exciting albeit baffling endings of a game seen in a long time. We’re another week closer to the mid-July draft and activity is starting to pick up. As we get into May, the focus begins to tighten. While the picture still appears very broad to almost everyone, the tea leaves begin to occasionally drop. But that’s the fun of drafts: It’s up to you whether you want to believe them or not.
