Rumor: NY Post reports Mets interested in Correa

The Mets are now interested in Carlos Correa because of course they are!

Who aren't the former #lolmets interested in nowadays?

It's not as if they have a shortstop that's truly great. They obviously need two of them..

It's the New York Post. The tax would put the annual salary over $60 million and Correa would move to 3B. I don't think so.

I also recall early speculation with the Cardinals, Phillies, Red Sox, and Orioles. And, forgive me if I'm wrong because my head may be spinning from all the Correa rumors, but I think I even heard that the Mariners were interested at one point.  

 

The list might be shorter of who was not mentioned to be in on Correa by the time he signs.

 

Yet, he's still unsigned.

3 teams serious about Correa- MN, Cubs, SF, are not contenders. LAD & NYY didn't make sense, NYM don't make sense because of the tax & no SS need, I have heard Mets rumors for some time now. It seems that Cohen is crazy enough to do it. I am more concerned about the Mets because they are a contender and IMO that's what Correa has been waiting for.

Here I'll admit that I was wrong about the Met rumor. It was strictly a bunch of smoke to get SF to ante up
