The problem with Parmelee is that if he moves to his "natural" position, he has to hit a hell of a lot more than he does right now. At least with Plouffe, you can deal with a .740 OPS if he figures out how to play third.

 

True. I guess I'm thinking he would be more comfortable hitting at first, and that it might get easier for him while playing outfield. You could easily substitute "hoping" for "thinking" there.

Well, I'm hoping that they both earn their way into starting every day. They're not far from it right now.

I came home to watch and got to see Burton struggle and Dozier boot the double play. Should have stayed at the office.

 

Naw, it's a good situation. Twins will win dramatically in the 11th.

This game could go 22 innings. It could but it won't...

 

That might make us miss Butera's role as a backup pitcher. Maybe Plouffe could pitch.
