Good morning Twins fans and welcome back to another Game Thread extravaganza! The mighty Minnesota Twins take on the Chicago White Sox this afternoon and will try to go for the sweep in Chicago. After last nights exciting win and great pitching performance from Winder, Joe Ryan will take the mound today against former Twin and now White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn.

Joe Ryan is having a great year so far. Heading into today's game Ryan brings with him a 6-3 record with a 3.00 ERA.  Lynn on the other hand has been less exciting with a 1-1 record and a 4.50 ERA. Minnesota now has a 4.5 game lead over Cleveland and a 6.5 game lead over the third place White Sox heading into todays matchup.

This series has been fun to watch! We've seen a triple play, multiple home runs and some decent pitching and defense from Minnesota. I'm expecting more excitement today...Speaking of excitement, I'll be listening to the game on the radio today while at work. I must be old school but I still love to listen to baseball games on the radio. I think that is a trait for only the die hard baseball fans.

Wether you are watching on TV or listening via radio, please don't hesitate to participate in today's game thread!

Byron Buxton, he of a career .304 BABIP, is at only .214 so far this year.  No matter how different his hitting approach from past seasons, significant regression to the mean should occur going forward, which would be huge down the stretch.  Other perspectives on this are welcome.

Enjoying the midsummer evening daylight of the northern prairies growing up was fantastic.  Hearing Herb Carneal chronicling the Twins made it extra special.  The way Herb painted verbal pictures, nothing else was necessary.

What if we’re watching in person?

Folks, if you see a guy in a Oliva shersey down the right field line, stop by my seat and say, “Hello.”

Oh, and we’re still 10 minutes from starting, but it appears there will be plenty of good seats available.

Not saying that. Just saying he had a pretty bad AB.

It's a streaky game. He's been HR or K lately. But... I'll take a few well placed game winning HRs any day.
