Game Thread: Rockies @ Twins 6/24/22 7:10 PM

Recommended Posts

unbelievably bad loss against a bad team when the three worst pitchers on your staff hold a lifeless Rockies lineup on the road to 1 run. This team is very ugly to watch right now. I don't even know what to say at this point other than thank god for the Red Sox and Orioles. HAVE to win the final two games of this series.

Until tomorrow,

Go Twins

Sure glad I didn't waste my time watching. Starting to really lose interest in this team...... damn.

So am I.  Lately, it's becoming easier and easier to find any excuse to not turn the game on.

Sadly, I think the free fall has begun.  Say hello to sub-.500 very soon.

Sigh!!!

Wow.  These crap games against crap teams (lookin at you DET and AZ)

Also known as playing down to the perceived level of your opposition, a trait we've become quite good at in the relatively recent past.

3 runs or fewer in 51% of the games this season. You can blame the bullpen all you want (they've been bad, yeah), but if the lineup continues to remain so inept in over HALF of their games, this team isn't for real.

A common symptom in teams with a significant shortage of "professional" hitters, with all due respect to Luis Arreaz (sp).  A symptom we've had for far too many seasons now, save for the Bomba squad of 2019.

I wasn't watching, just following.  That was the only shift of the game?

Not to mention it was still a slow roller. And even if Correa hasn’t overshifted, Arraez has probably still shifted to some degree. Decent chance in that case that it gets through for a single OR just turns into a 4-6 force due to the slow ball.

Not scoring any dang runs made them lose the game! Pitiful.

By Thiéres Rabelo

Joe and Yonathan Daza hit back-to-back one-out singles, allowing Joe to reach third. Then Charlie Blackmon hit a ground ball to the middle of the Twins’ shift, preventing Carlos Correa from turning a double play in time and allowing Joe to score from third.

Not scoring enough runs looses ANY GAME, this lost this one, period.
