Some times I think it is best for a player to start out slow; Badoo and Hicks came on like lighting but then the bottom fell out.

The Aaron Hicks who hit .192/.259/.338 his first year with the Twins or the .215/.341/.274 line he out up year 2? Hicks did not start well for the Twins.

Update: Twins center field hopeful Aaron Hicks hit three home runs in his first four at-bats in Thursday's exhibition game against the Phillies, including a leadoff homer to left against Cliff Lee.

The Twins trailed 6-5 after seven innings.

Hicks is competing with Darin Mastroianni and Joe Benson for the starting center field job, and is batting .385 with four home runs during spring training.

He also homered in the fifth and seventh innings today.

Is the audio ahead of the video feed, or is it just mine?

This happens a lot, not just in sports broadcasts but such things as remote reports on the 10:00 news. This is probably the worst I've seen, though.

Are you seriously using a ST game as some kind of evidence here?

If you were around then  his,  early games with the Twins were not bad at all; I am not talking about a whole season, I said start, as in this Miranda's start.

This is a high quality troll job or you can’t read the date of the excerpt you posted. Possibly both.

The article you reference is dated March 7.  It says "exhibition game" in it...

Often times it's best for one just to admit a mistake than to try to make things worse by digging a hole for oneself with untrue statements.

I bought one of those goat things at Barnes and Noble today ... let me tell you ... they are worth every. penny. But I won't post any photos here unless we need to rally

I'd be interested to know what sort of sales spike that garnered in Twins territory.

My error, I thought it was an in season exhibition game; his lighting start in exhibition games, in the majors is why he was on the team.
