How Did You Find Twins Daily?

I retired in 2014 and moved from Texas to Maine.  I've been a Twins fan since Julio Becquer took the field in 1961 but all you can get in the northeast is the Boston Red Sox news.  Any Twins game is considered a "late game" in the newspaper and no score is ever given for night games.  One day I got fed up and just started surfing for any news about the Twins (and other Minnesota sports) and I came across Twins Daily.  I started reading it and now it is a morning tradition.  As for the best thing I like, it's the daily recaps of the minor leagues.  I always save them for the last read of the morning.  And, of course, it is a place to throw in my two cents worth every now and then.

1. I think it was one of my sons who first brought TD to my attention, pretty early in the site's existence.  I had been unaware of any of the individual blogs that preceded it, and in general blogs by individuals don't interest me too much.  But the seamless and continual generation of content coming from multiple owners drew me in.  It also coincided with a time in my life were I was unusually susceptible to, *ahem*, killing time - TD was a perfect outlet for that since every time I looked again there was a new article or a new comment. :)

2) Others have already invoked the word that I always keep coming back to: community.  There are real people behind these screen names, ones worth knowing.  The sense of community is especially noteworthy because of the large contingent of TD participants living far from the Twin Cities.

3. Since I never progressed above Little League, I am always eager when an article explains the mechanics of playing the game at a high level, preferably in terms that involves something recent/current regarding a Twins player.

My current account lists me as a member since 2017, but that is my second after a failed relationship with Charter Communications and an abandoned email address. Must have been 2014 or 15 when I first stumbled across TD. The constructive, civil commentary and debate keeps me coming back. There are some very smart people in this community and the level of discourse is high. I have two favorite discussion boards; Twins Daily for what I watch and Telemarktalk for what I do.

Not sure if it was Seth or Aaron, but I do think back to the days when Aaron was still a journalism major at the U living on Chinese food and how he wasn't picked to write for the school paper.  Do all you guys still converse or does the Athletic look down on the sweaty masses?

I was a daily reader of Seth Speaks, as the only place I could consistently get more than box scores for MiLB action.  That came from wanting to follow the careers of the three hotshot international prospects the Twins had just signed; Miguel Angel de Sano, Max Kepler, and Jorge Polanco.

I joined (I believe) the second day the site was open and live, as I spent the first day wondering if Seth had just forgotten to update his site that day.
