He did indeed say that, and he reasoned, if I’m not mistaken, that the white Sox were missing hittable pitches. What a doozy

The Common Man is going to have an entire bracket dedicated to the preposterous things Twins broadcasters say next year.

Dude, not rationalizing.  I'm saying if the normal way the game is played is for hitters to attempt to get runs across the plate, then watching 3-0 meatballs sail by is a hitter acting in a way the normally would not.  I think it is disrespectful to the game and your opponent to not do your best, and in my opinion, grown men shouldn't be upset over another grown man giving full effort.

Yup, manly men, being manly!

Okay friends, let’s dial back on the “ruining baseball” conversation before it gets personal.

Thanks!

The twins are ruining baseball plenty for me.

Away from the game for a few minutes and the first thing I heard when I came back was Bremer saying "Twins trying to do something with the extra out".

I caught myself assuming that the Sox made an error, but then suddenly wondered if MLB is just giving the Twins 4 outs every inning to restore them to some semblance of competitiveness.

With the lob balls willans was throwing up there, I felt like I was watching one of those trick softball games they used to show on espn back in the day. The king and his court I think they used to be called. Let’s see how far we can hit it out. Yermín did exactly what he should have done to that side show.

Everyone thought it was entertaining to watch the chubby fun-loving guy throw the eephus. I thought it was embarrassing, especially considering it’s not the first time he had to pitch

I think you have your Kings mixed up. It’s a good thing  Eddie Feigner is on that mound up in the sky. He didn’t take kindly to being dissed.  There weren’t many hitting it at all, not to speak of how far.

From Wiki:
On February 18, 1967, Feigner appeared in a celebrity charity softball game against many Major League Baseball players. In the game Feigner struck out Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Brooks Robinson, Roberto Clemente, Maury Wills, and Harmon Killebrew all in a row.[1][

They did hit too though, didn’t they? They were the globetrotters of softball
