2021-2022 International Free Agency

Recommended Posts

BA Posted their first 2021-2022 International Signings big board this morning. The Twins are linked to the player expected to land the 15th largest signing bonus. He’s a center fielder born in Puerto Rico and living in the Dominican Republic. He profiles as one of the top power speed players in the class. Really cool video on him below.

MLB Pipeline posted their top 50 list and have Mercedes ranked 17th. The Twins are also listed as favorites to sign the 34th ranked player Yilber Herrera, a Dominican shortstop compared to Jorge Polanco and the 39th ranked player Bryan Acuna, a Venezuelan shortstop and little brother of Ronald Acuna Jr. Looks like an exciting class to follow!

Well, Orlando Arcia was better than Oswaldo, and Yadier Molina is better than Bengie and Jose were, so I say we grab Acuna, get him to sign a 20 year, $300M contract, and start planning his HOF induction for sometime in the 2040's.
