POTUS Donald Trump

I know that there are some people who like Uncle Hank on this site (Henry Rollins).

If you have almost 3 hours to invest, this a podcast of Joe Rogan with HR, it is really good and fair.

The political talk is between the 1HR-2HR mark.

Really fantastic stuff!

Big Rollins fan, both musically and spoken.

Thanks for the recomondation.

In monaco currently, now THESE people know how to live ;)

If all goes bad in the US all I need to do is rob a few dozen banks and just move here.

Holy ****. I'm literally shaking after watching this video.

My god, we are on the verge of fascism. And that's not hyperbole. I'm loathe to use that word as a label but holy ****, this is mortifying.

"The end result of this, though, is that our opponents, the media, and the whole world will soon see that as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned."

My god.

I have an aunt who is right-leaning (although not full blown tea-party), and he freaked her out.  His words and the tone that they were delivered really is quite chilling.

And not to be superficial and petty, but he is only 31.  Does the evil from within eat away at these people and start to show in their physical appearance?  Bannon and KellyAnne also seem to be representative of this, as I guess does Trump himself.

Yowza.

I wonder....what happens now?  Do they double down and keep pushing this guy out there or do they hide him?

And I ask because if they do keep pushing him out there, then we better be ready for **** to turn really nuts really fast after the court decision is handed down. If they hide him, then at least there is some degree of self-awareness and level-headed decision making.

I don't know if it's fascism (yet), but it's brazen disregard for our laws and how our republic is supposed to work.

I've joined my local indivisible chapter. The president of the board was on npr this morning and was pretty good.

The right things seem to be coming together with indivisible. Hopefully they can stay coalesced and drive the message into the mud terms. This is a chance for the Democratic party to reform itself and push back against the alt right.

We'll see. The message against big business, loss of liberty, the constitution, and money in politics resonates with a lot of people. The worst thing progressives could do is alienate blue collar workers even more.

So some of Trump's rich buddies the other day were posing for photos with a nuclear football.

Somehow, Hillary's emails were a greater danger to national security.

I think a picture with the nuclear football was implicit with any campaign contribution over 1M. Over 2M you get to push a button.

So this Stephen Miller is basically taking Kellyanne Conway's spot since the Ivanka sales pitch fiasco, is that right?

Looks like he comes from Session's team.

There is some talk that he was behind much of what was drafted for the executive order dealing with the banning of the seven countries.

He had a security briefing over the N. Korea missile in public at his resort where people were taking pictures of him reading documents with his phone flashlight.  He then made the brief statement with the P.M. Abe and then took him with him to crash a wedding of a large donor that was going on at the same place.

There is already talk he wants to go back next weekend for the third weekend in a row., but you know Obama was always golfing so...

I could not make this stuff up if I tried.

I loved the rhetoric about how hard he worked. Was always working we were told. Fantastic businessman we were told. Only he could drain the swamp we were told. He knew the tax code better than anyone we were told. I'll stop now, but could keep going...

I recall being 'guaranteed' of a lot of these things.

Flynn resigns. One wonders if journalists (and others) should have slow played their hand as to further implicate Trump.

Nonetheless, a blow to Trump, and victory for anyone with ****s still to give.

It might end up a blow to Trump, and if so, good.

But I'd wait for that to happen before celebrating. I not sure Trump supporters won't chalk it up to the evil media, and for the rest of us, the sad truth is Flynn was one of Trump's more qualified and I think competent appointees.

Lets get Bannon the **** out of there. Miller, Devos, Sessions...with reasonable replacements. Then we'll possibly have accomplished something.

It's so disheartening to think that, out of all those appointees, Tillerson and Flynn were the "good" ones.
