Mrs Chief and I had a sort of...embarrassing incident in church last Sunday.

 

I "let one go,"  but silently.  Then another, but fortunately not a sound.

 

I leaned over and asked her if she had noticed, sort of proud of my ability to be quiet.

 

She looked at me with "that look," and asked me when was the last time I put new batteries in my hearing aid.

Mr and Mrs Chief wanted to join a church but it required them to abstain from marital relations for a month. At the end of the month they met with the pastor who asked them if they had fulfilled the requirements. Chief said that, sadly, Mrs Chief had bent over to pick up a bag of potatoes, and one thing led to another. The pastor said that they would have to leave and never come back. And Chief said, "That's OK, they told us the same thing at Lunds."
