Refreshing to the top of forums page

No comments on this article, but what's with this constant reloading and jumping back to the first page? I've experienced this problem for the past several days. Is it my browser or did one of the geeks "new and improve" the website?

Having the same problem. It seems to be related to the video ads. Every time a new video ad loads and starts to play- I get scrolled to the top of the page. It seems to be related to the "Kaiser University" and the "Bare Chicken" ads.

For some reason when I'm scrolling down to read replies in a forum, the site automatically refreshes and takes me back to the top of the page. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the auto-play ads loading or what. It's annoying to keep on getting redirected to the top of the page as I'm reading through replies.

Chrome and Windows 7 as well. I wish I could take a video of what the site is doing to me right now. I couldn't even finish typing this message on the computer. Had to switch to my phone.

It's awful, and I'm not one to complain. I had to switch away from using Chrome and use IE instead. I hate IE, but the experience is perfect. Not sure what happened with the Chrome experience - the video ads seem to jump you back to the top when they start. Really bad.

You two are not alone.    There is probably a separate place for these complaints but now sure where to go.    I have given up on several topics because of it.

I had to switch to IE on my PC because of this. The site is virtually unworkable on Chrome.

It seems to help to kill Shockwave but only until it reloads itself.

Yeah, it only goes away when the flashplayer crashes.

I was getting that issue a lot on my iPad too. The site works perfectly fine on a phone. Completely unusable on a laptop.

It seems to go fine, then not ... I wasn't having any issues with this at home on my Mac, just here at work on my PC.

It's the Autoplay video ad in the right hand corner.  FWIW, I had the exact same thing happen to me (Chrome) this morning when I was trying to read an article on the Star Tribune website

It seems to be working much better this morning. Thank you for whatever you did to improve it. Yesterday the site was borderline unusable on a PC.

I'm on Chrome on a PC now and it seems completely fixed from my end. Brock, thank you if you fixed it because it was awful a couple days ago.

Okay ... probably the same thing ... page is jumping to and getting stuck (can't scroll up or down) just at the low end of the MLB/Barry Bonds video that is showing in the ad space on the top/right hand side. When it goes to the next ad, all is well, but when that video is there is gets stuck. And the weird thing is is that video isn't even playing, that I can tell.
