Twins Daily in Ft. Myers

Recommended Posts

I will be flying down to Ft. Myers on Sunday. My first day at the ballpark will be Monday. From that point forth, Twins Daily will have someone there through the rest of spring training. Each day, you will be able to read at least a couple of Reports from The Fort.

I'd like to encourage Twins Daily readers to present us with ideas in this forum thread. What are the stories that you would like us to write while we are down there? Or, who would you like to see us interview, major leaguer or minor leaguer.

We may or may not be able to do all of them, but we certainly would appreciate your thoughts on what you would like to read.

If you were in the Twins clubhouse one day in spring training, who would you want to talk to, and what would you ask them? Post your thoughts and we'll try to get as many answers as we can while we're down there.

I really liked the little video reports you did last year with some of the players.  Do more of those ... if you can.

Also, would like to know how TK is doing and how active he has been.

With the minor leaguers, who looks to have changed/improved the most from last season.

Have fun Seth. Two thing jump to mind: 1) Molitor change from Gardy - from the perspective of veterans.

2) Coverage of minor league camp...do the players have goals they set for the season? Could you get the some of the top 10 prospects' goals for their seasons?

Looking forward to reading your reports.

Thanks Seth.

To the extent possible, I personally would like to hear about:

(1) Max Kepler, whether he and the Twins coaches expect his power to return and whether they think its absence was a function of his injuries (he seems to have done everything else well); seems to me if his power returns, he has all the other tools to be an excellent corner outfielder with above-average defense and OBP;

(2) Anything you can learn about Molitor's views and philosophy on platooning;

(3) whether Arcia, Vargas, and Santana (those 3 in particular) are working on trying to be more selective at the plate (Vargas has a history of doing so in the minors, the others not as much), and whether the coaches are working with them/encouraging them to do that;

Thanks again!

I'd like t know which prospects outside of the top 10 the AA & AAA hitting / pitching coaches are looking forward to working with?  With such a loaded system, who do they see as sleepers?  Thery have to have more insight than all of us bloggers and scouts.

Saw Seth, but didn't see you, and not many people around today. FB, hey? I'll have to look him up.

Honestly, I wasn't looking too hard. Between baseball activities and taking care of my dad, that was enough.

It was great to see Halsey again today!

I get kind of overwhelmed the first day I'm there. So much going on, and minor league practice hasn't even officially started yet! Also today, the Twins had and "A" and a "B" team on the road, so there weren't as many big leaguers there today. They're on the road again tomorrow, but just one team.
