And practically all personal injury lawyers work for a contingency fee (piece of the pie at the end) and should be able to do all the property damage and no-fault claim stuff free of charge as part of their work on your injury.  At least at my office.  I can't guarantee that at all offices, but they should.

Is it normal for insurance companies to drag their feet like USAA did?

I'm not really understanding USAA.

The car has been in the tow yard for two weeks to the tune of $1,000.

You'd figure they'd want to move to avoid the extra expense.

I finally had enough and went to my insurance company yesterday to get something done.

State Farm got it to an Auto Body Shop today and will now subjugate and bill USAA for the damages and this will end up being additional expense for USAA which will include my deductable.

In two weeks time... I didn't get a phone call from USAA and the price tag went up daily.

While I'm without my car.

If you haven't heard from USAA in two weeks, is your agent's name Alex Meyer?

Yeah, that's another good reason to go in for the rental.  It's not necessarily company either.  It can vary from office to office and adjuster to adjuster.  You're not paying USAA premiums, so what's their rush?  That's why others have suggested going with your insurance first.  They want to keep you as a customer, they should take care of you in the rare occasion you have to make a claim, especially if it's not your fault.

So, is this the 9th 8th 3-game sweep of the season? Isn't the MLB record 10?

If so, then the Twins are nearing history and we're not even halfway through the season.

Edit: I think it's actually 8 sweeps

Interesting... I went to my agent the day after.

I asked him what happens next and he gave me the option of going through State Farm or going through the other's drivers insurance and I said... "Well she ran the stop sign so... this should go though her insurance" and he said OK and he placed the phone call and started the claim.

Man, we're getting to be the answer to a lot of horrible trivia questions...

Some agents are better at sales then claims.  Most agents have almost nothing to do with any claims handling at all.  I set up the claim with both right away.  I bet the rental will get them moving though.

So only on pace for getting swept 24 times,   not 27.

Submit the rental through your policy if you rental replacement coverage, or with their claim number on the other.  Usually will cover 1 or 2 weeks then more if approved by their claims handler.

Cool... I'll get to wear one of those neck braces. Maybe an eye patch to make it look worse.

Aaaargh! The fearsome Red River Pirate! And his one legged Parrot Chief! :)

The cynic in me says yes, but I have Progressive, and the little trouble I have had they have been right there.

Bottom line, never wait for them to call you. In this case the squeaky wheel theory pays off. I had a 83 Carina, great mechanical car, some kid whacked it in front of my house. They wanted it totaled, I wanted it back. Eventually he said, "ok, if we fix it, will you promise never ever to call me again"? I said can I call you back? Lol. But they fixed it.

Bright side...... May and Tonkin were great.

I was there at the game today, great seat on the first base side with a perfect view of the third base line so that fair/foul calls were no mystery to me. I may write up a report, but at the moment I'm wracking my brain to think of any other positives than the ones you mentioned.

Grossman in left is a disappointment; I couldn't spot anything in particular that he did wrong, but baserunners seemed to be gunning for second as soon as the ball made it past the infield into left, and they always wound up making it. His arm's not that bad, at least not Revere-bad, but every throw was just barely not in time to nip the runner.

I decided May is the laziest player in the universe. See, Pat Dean battled his tail off for five innings, resulting in three strikeouts. May got his three strikeout allotment in one inning, and sat down. Lazy, I tell you.

Positives: Buxton; two game hitting streak. Mauer; edging his way towards .400 OBP.

Negatives: Snapped; two-series "didn't get swept" streak. Dean; maybe not the answer?

Mixed reviews: USAA claims performance. Valencia, Danny 2016 success (happy for him, and/or sort of bitter)

Thanks for the on the spot reporting, as it were.

I will choose to be optimistic w/ Grossman, 'cause if they are just barely makking it into second, then a slight improvement can change that to outs...

And strike outs are not the laziest a pitcher can be. They require at least 3 pitches, unless it is bugs bunny pitching.
