Finally got that Left handed Starting Pitcher the Twins were after, I see. Too bad the AL has the DH now, I hear that guy has some pop in his bat.

Let's just convert him to a Left Fielder.

I know Mike Maddox has been brought up from time to time as a possible manager but does anyone else find it a bit odd that the Rangers didn't consider him a finalist? If any team should know what they have in him, it would have been the Rangers.

Personally I am a fan of two of the internal candidates, Gene Glynn and Dougie baseball.

I think the players both like and respect those two guys. One a former player known for his passion for the game and has been very successful in his young career,  the other a native Minnesotan, who has been a success at every level he has been given an opportunity to coach or manage at. He was a successful coach with the Dodgers before coming to the Twins and that speaks to me.

That and Glynn seems to have a good working relationship with a lot of the Twins younger players so count me as hoping he at least is a finalist and the Twins are not just dazzled with one guy's interview. Keep in mind Joe Maturi was bamboozled after Tim Brewster nailed the interview and that salesman BS'er actually got the job. Some times some of the devils you know are better than the one;s you don't.

I don't know but listening to Torey Lovullo in that recap interview from the Paw Sox, he strikes me as an East Coast BS'er, the guy can really sling it but is he substance or is he all talk.

For some reason listening to Torey Lovullo reminds me a lot of the Tim Brewster ARCH type "Telling everyone what they want to hear, not what they need to hear". Brewster too said he knew a lot about the game, has worked for a lot of successful people and we all know how that turned out. Luvollo strikes me as the type that is like Brewster, thinks they are ready and have it all in the bank and then when the bleep hit's the fan, they don't know what to do. Glynn has had less talent to work with and done more with it in my opinion and the says something about the guy as far as being able to draw the most out of the talent he has to work with. The Twins do not need a snow job they need reality to hit them square in the face, if four years of awful baseball has not done that I don't know what else would.

Tim Brewster didn't know what to do because he never had any coaching responsibilities before getting the Gophers job. Luvollo is highly regarded managerial candidate. He's up on all the new stats and unlike football it's much more difficult to hide an incompetent coach in baseball.
