  1. Ryan located his pitches better with the last two hitters. Maybe maybe he has a good finish
  2. I would break it down like this in order of importance: 55% Bullpen…. Just over half so it’s top priority 25% offense…. Do these guys take batting practice anymore? Do they practice any small ball skills? Do they have a hitting coach? They should hit and run once in a while, they can’t steal anyways, try something else. 20% starting pitching…… If they could improve the bullpen and the offense, then they would already be winning more games. Then would be a good time to get a starter.
  3. I wouldn’t mind a proven starter, but without improving the bullpen first , it would be meaningless.
  4. The real other half of the problem is the bullpen. Since Twins starters regularly leave the game after the 5th or sooner, the bullpen normally pitches nearly half of the game or more on almost a regular basis. Offense is not as bad as you make it sound, had plenty of offense to win the first two games vs Cleveland but the bullpen blew it in both games. They actually had two blown saves in Wednesdays game. The offense fell flat on Thursday and won with just enough. You could argue Cleveland should have been swept.
  5. Yeah well I’m glad to be the fool. It’s a mystery to me how he’s this successful, I wanted him to pitch the 7th.
  6. I have to admit there was plenty of human error from the players, from Smiths roller coaster ride to the little girls throw from Thielbar to Miranda, we shouldn’t have to put up with it from the umpires too.
  7. Not bad, learning when to use them would be a managers task….it could literally be resolved in seconds
  8. If anything replay has quieted the Billy Martins of the game, and he’s not the only one, literally hundreds of managers have gone crazy over bad calls. So your argument is losing steam. The only thing you have is nostalgia, that’s not gonna be enough to keep the changes you hate from happening.
  9. Your challenge is going to be how to accept the changes, obviously you have so far, it’ll be alright
  10. Was Mauers ground rule double that was called a foul ball a “supposed” bad call? Are you opposed to making that call right or should we have just accepted that the umpire is a player in the game
