  1. I think opening day we are looking at Rotation: Santana Gibson Santiago* Hughes* May Vogelsong- Just a feeling he has a good spring and bumps someone from above *I'd like to see Berrios for one of Hughes not being ready yet or Santiago let go Pen: Kintzler Pressly Belisle Rogers O'Rourke/Boshers Chargois Haley- long relief Blanton- I hope we can get him and DFA Tonkin Tonkin (I think they give him another shot, especially if we have 8 guys in the pen and don't sign anyone else) I think Perkins starts the year on the DL, as a precaution more than anything Would like to see Duffey at AAA in the bullpen and one of the first to get a call up
  2. Hildenberger's numbers are flat out nasty, I read in his bio on MLB.com that he's a sidewinder and can throw over the top? Who does he best resemble delivery-wise?
  3. I just can't see them moving Mauer or Dozier to different positions for any reason..
  4. I surely hope they aren't just rolling with internal options. I think they should sign Romo and Salas to help the bullpen. I wouldn't be opposed to signing a defensive first SS IF they trade Dozier. I would also be happy if they brought in a guy like Rayburn for the OF and to give the young lefties a break against lefties
  5. I was not aware that Pom has 2 more years of control before free agency, I also didn't realize that Buchholz was 4 years older than Pom. I would love to have Pom but he has only thrown 100+ innings once, this year. I definitely think there is some risk with both, Buch would be much cheaper and more of a bridge type as this is his last year before FA. He also might have more to prove for the same reason; he could be a buy low candidate that wouldn't hurt to take a flyer on IMO.
  6. I think Buchholz would cost less and I think he has more upside than Pom. Although I would be fine with either as long as Boston isn't asking too much. I would be happy with E San, Gibson, Buchholz/Pom, Berrios, and whoever to battle for the 5th spot.
  7. Really think the Twins should take a flyer on Bucholtz (sp) now that he is more than likely expendable for Boston
  8. Wouldn't the Nats going all in, trading for Sale/maybe McCutchen, be a good thing for us? One would think that would put pressure on the Dodgers to make a deal for Dozier to keep up?
  9. Josh Harrison available from Pirates, what do you think it would take to get him and would he be a good fit with the Twins? We would have to move Dozier and leave Polanco at SS more than likely. Not a bad contract and he can play all over with good contact and speed.
  10. I saw a report that the Cardinals were interested in Justin Turner and if they could sign him they would need to move Peralta. If we could move Dozier and slide Polanco to 2B we should go after Peralta, as I think he could be had for fairly cheap. Veteran leadership and a very sure handed SS. Thoughts?
