  1. I have a really strong feeling that either tomorrow or Thursday we are going to sign Darvish. That is what’s holding up other moves at the moment. After that I fully expect Kintzler to be brought back and assume we will be targeting some relievers in trades. Raisel Iglesias is a guy I’d be willing to move Gordon, Jay, Wade and another decent prospect for, he is the kind of bullpen weapon that can be deployed as a closer or in the middle innings when we are in a jam. He also has I think 3-4 years of control left.
  2. I would like to take the pitcher from Stanford who had the back injury.
  3. Lewis is going to be a stud hopefully the savings get us two pitchers with top of the rotation potential and I will be ecstatic.
  4. The main reason I would lean Wright is the track record for successful Vandy guys is about as good as any college.
  5. While I am encouraged by the year Kohl Stewart is having the one thing that still underwhelms me is his strikeout numbers. We drafted him with the hopes he'd be a top of the rotation guy who would strike out 9 or more per nine innings. I know he is still working on secondary pitches and that once he grasps them all the number may go up even more. But at this point what do you think his peak will be Seth? Who would be a good comparison to what you think Kohl will be at his highest point?
  6. I wasn't a huge fan of Nunez at first but I love the passion he plays with and how he gives it his all every play. This year he's really grown on me and his performance hasn't hurt either. I do understand that his BABIP indicates he is due for regression and his value may be at its peak. However I wouldn't just trade him for some no name prospect, at this point he is our best option at short stop with Polanco looking like he is either a 2B or trade bait. Unless we can get a prospect that is young with high upside I wouldn't do it. But I tend to be a homer and may be overvaluing him at the moment. However he is a top 5 MLB SS this season even with the sub par defense and is in theory hitting his prime years, which is why I think he has pretty decent value.
  7. I really liked what we did day one especially the pick of Baddoo, He was compared to Carl Crawford on the broadcast which was music to my ears even though it is unlikely he reaches that level of play. The one pick I question is Kirilloff which isn't because I don't think he is good I just really wanted Dalvin Perez who I think has a chance to be great. One other guy I fell in love with recently is Peter Alonso after his performance coming back from the wrist injury. I know we don't need anymore 1B/DH types but boy does his bat look good. I haven't heard your thoughts on Alonso Jeremy, what are they?
