  1. The write up in the Strib granite is quoted as saying that he did not want to step on the pitchers foot and in doing so, he missed the bag. He when out to say that he should have just stepped on his (the pitchers) foot.
  2. " Can the Indians pass the Dodgers for baseball's best record?" For whatever reason MLB.com says dodgers have already won that.
  3. However the season ends, it's been awesome to watch the Twins this year and enjoyed just as much reading the articles in "Twins Daily"! Thank you for all of your hard work and doing a great job in covering the Twins! Question, you said the Rangers and Royals need to win out and the Twins and Angles need to lose all of their games. What about the Rays? Are they not mathematically still able to tie the Twins?
  4. Granite crossed home plate twice in the eighth inning with only one plate appearance. Wonder when the last time a twin did that.
  5. I mentioned this before, I read an article in the The Athletic about Gibsons turnaround this season. It all started when he started pitching from the 3rd base side of the pitching rubber. Also, If everyone recalls, Gibson was sent down when the Twins acquired Garcia from the Braves and brought back up when Garcia was traded to the Yanks. The way Gibson is pitching now, I think I'd rather have Gibson than Garcia.
  6. Thanks for the great right up. Love (win the Twins win) reading them. I recently subscribed to the Athletic to read the Wilds coverage since Russo moved over there from the Strib. They have recently had a few Twins articles and did a right up on Gibsons turnaround. It basically said since he switched back to pitching off the 3rd base side opposed to the 1st base side of the (pitching) rubber, his era is 2.48. (Probably a little higher after yesterday's game) the down side is, throwing from the the 3rd base side puts more pressure on his shoulder.
  7. I know this is unrelated to the game, but does anyone know why Mientkiewicz got fired from Managing Fort Myers?
  8. Going into the eighth inning, game tied and what Molitor had available in the bullpen, did he really think one run would be enough to win the game? Did he think his bullpen could get six outs without giving up a run? Everyone on this forum knew they answer to that , except for Molitor. The question I have is, are the Twins doing this well despite Molitor? What is in the bullpen is not his fault, but he needs to think outside the box sometimes and stop reading from a script. I just wish he would stop with all of the bunting.
