  1. Double in the first and now a grand slam. This is why I questioned Rocco having Kepler higher in the lineup.
  2. Urshela.....man. Came through big there. Great at bat. Tough ball to hit.
  3. Those are season long numbers. Fact is that Kepler has been trending DOWN since the beginning of the year....and has been absolutely brutal in the month of August. Gordon is moving in the opposite direction.
  4. As I said....and I noticed it first in the Rangers series.....Gordon had been batting sixth or seventh.....despite batting nearly .300 in August. Outside of a couple recent games....Kepler has been dreadful at the plate.
  5. Unfortunately.....I've seen bases loaded and no outs produce zero runs. Fact is that the bottom of the lineup is whack right now. Leon is as close to an automatic out as it gets. It looks like he is constantly struggling to catch up to pitches.
  6. Gordon? Miranda? My point here is that during the Rangers series when we hit....what.....two for twenty something with runners in scoring position....Kepler was batting fifth. Plenty of chances with runners on. He's had a few good games recently.....but we need guys who have been hitting more consistently getting up to the plate after our top of the lineup batters.
  7. WHY is Kepler hitting third? Big reason why the Twins were dropping games left and right all through August was Rocco's insistence on batting him in the middle of the lineup despite his monthly average (at the end of the Rangers series) hovering around .120....with an OBP of .157. But yeah.....third seems like a good idea. Please get Rocco out of here at the end of the season.
  8. There's a lot of money to be made betting on the under in Twins games.
  9. Can we be done with Rocco after this season? I can't imagine a worse in-game manager with the bizarre shifts and horrible pitching moves.
  10. Are you ****ing kidding me? Walks three straight batters to start the inning.....that's pathetic.
  11. Did not expect to see the team bounce back like this. Very nice.
  12. Might have been a solo homerun if we hadn't gone with the 'leave the entire right side of the infield empty' shift for Adames.
  13. Bingo. Something extra satisfying about doing that much damage with two outs.
  14. It's a dumb mistake with no other runners on base. With a guy on third who'd likely tag up and score....it's unforgivable. Just downright stupid.
  15. Must have been because of the HOF ceremony. Game was scheduled for a 1:10 start....but the Xfinity guide had the pre-game show through 1:45.
  16. Kepler made up for yesterday. I bet Twins to win and over 8.5 runs in tonight's game. Looks good on both fronts. Yesterday's first game....I had no runs in the first inning. Pulled up on that fly that fell short right.
  17. Was that Correa who made a piss poor tag attempt on Frazier?
  18. Damn. Absolutely demolished it. Nice when your star players step up.
  19. That is true. Still seems as though May reaches that 100 pitch threshold a little faster than most. Doesn't matter. May is going to be a valuable starting pitcher for this team. I just think that Pelfrey has earned his spot so far.
  20. What would it have been if we had a halfway competent bullpen? Three runs through 7 and 2/3 innings is not a problem. Considering our bullpen problems.....May hasn't gone over 7 innings in any single start. That is a problem.
