  1. Fernando Rodney didn't have a very good Spring. I hope the Spring stats don't mean anything. Otherwise it will be Addison Reed closing sooner rather than later.
  2. The only way that the Twins will return to playoff and championship glory will be with new ownership. Period.
  3. Looks like Ervin Santana made a nice pitching audition today for some other teams.
  4. Can we get a true lead-off hitter please!!!!!!! Someone like a Ben Revere. Aaron Hicks will NEVER be that guy.
  5. How insulting to refer to Ben Revere as little Benny Revere. I'll refrain from writing what I feel about the poster of this article because I don't want to get kicked off this blog. Let's just say that the Twins could use a player like Ben Revere right now.
  6. Maybe Ryan fell asleep for his afternoon nap before he could make any more deals to help the Twins. Hey Ryan, The Villages in Florida is waiting for you.
  7. I'd like to get a leadoff hitter. Someone like we had in the early 2000's in Shannon Stewart. I would really like to get someone who can bunt to get on base or move people over. Also a quality reliever. Unless we have both of these in the organization somewhere.
  8. All I know is that Ervin needs to get a haircut. That is not a good look with a baseball cap!
  9. It just seems really obvious that minor league success in the Twins' system doesn't translate to the major league club. I am happy with what Rosario is doing, however. He really seems to be comfortable up here. I'm just wondering if it is something systemic in how the hitters are being coached in the major league club. Most of the hitters are still having problems and weren't exactly on fire even in May. They were just hitting in a timely manner. I still have faith in Molitor, though. I don't know what can turn around this lackluster performance. The Cincinnati series was ugly. Even the game they won.
  10. Well, my monthly MLB.TV subscription renews this Friday. I don't want to miss Ervin Santana's debut, but I also don't want to spend any money for a team on their way down to the cellar.
  11. It is surely the responsibility of the coaches to instruct these players how to play the game and that includes running the bases. I place the blame squarely on Paul Molitor and whoever the baserunning coach might be.
  12. I wonder how much influence Molitor has in decisions like this. I believe we've had some success with AA players in the past skipping AAA. Didn't Scott Erickson make the jump, and also Chuck Knobloch? Anyway, I'm not sure this will necessarily turn things around, but it's still exciting.
