I almost had to double check the date on the calendar.. Feels like a rain delay with no rain after the completion of the national anthem is just a cruel April Fool's day joke.
It doesn't look like the rain will let up until 7 PM or so, surprised they waited until game time to announce the delay. Who knows when they'll get going.
Along with Santana, Hughes, Gibson, Duffey, and Nolasco. Wasn't sure which one of those you were leaving off the 25-man in place of Tonkin and Pressly.
Leaving Milone out? Fien and Pressly both have an option left but I think you need Abad, Milone, and Perkins all for LHRP. Unless you take a bench spot away for 8 RP's but I don't think that's a good idea either.
You're correct on all of that. Two option years remaining and with only 8 days of service time accumulated, the Twins will likely control through 2022, heading into the 2023 season.
Ah you're right, I hadn't seen that statement on record. I knew they had already made the full payment but it just seems like an odd way documenting expenses.
If you put a down payment on a house, you don't spread that out in your budget for the life of your payment. The payment was made up front and should be reflected in the payroll as such.
Off topic in regards to Santana, but is there anyone else on the active roster with option years left other than Vargas with 1 year? Sort of difficult to find this information because I was trying to figure out if Kepler would still have all 3 years since technically hasn't been optioned back down since being called up, despite being on the 40-man roster for some time.
