  1. Not going to lie I didn’t think signing Correa was in the realm of possibilities, which is why so much focus was put on Trevor Story. Correa is significantly better than him and I’m thrilled he’s coming to Minnesota!
  2. Sorry for doubting you Falvey and Levine! Now let’s get Montas and we’re cooking with gas!!
  3. Makes me wonder if old friend Kevin Stefanski will be back looking for OC jobs in a year or 2. Now that the Browns are back acting like their old selves.
  4. Pineda isn’t a complete game changer for a rotation, but he was reliable to get 5-6 innings. I’m shocked he’s not desirable by the FO at 1/$5.5 with incentives. Especially when we initially invested in a full year expecting nothing so he could recover from TJS in 2018.
  5. We’re really banking on the idea of running it back with essentially the same team, and placing all blame on Zimmer’s coaching ability for the lack of success.
  6. Losing Conklin doesn’t bother me a bit. As long as Irv Smith Jr. comes back healthy there will be no blood lost. We will have way more 3 WR sets vs. 2 TE sets next season.
  7. Can’t say I’m a fan of this unless they get a 1st and more for him.
  8. Also, don’t even think about making a bet on the NFL’s certified gambling partner’s app because you’ll be suspended a year. Or smoke weed otherwise you’re suspended 4 straight seasons.
  9. Better late than never to have Thorpe pitching in the pen. Hopefully this is the year his shoulder holds up for a full season. I concur with several on the thread. 26 year old left handed, breathing pitchers will continue getting opportunities in the majors.
  10. I mean, we knew beforehand that Spielman put this team in very rough shape cap wise. Not much we can do immediately to resolve that. From what I’ve gathered about Donatell’s defense, and McVay’s defense too, is they don’t need well known, impact ILBs to be successful. He did well in Denver with mid round pick Josey Jewell, and undrafted talents like Alexander Johnson and Malik Reed. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens to clear cap space in the next couple of days. It would be great to clear enough room to sign JC Tretter at center… My top CB target Rasul Douglas is still available too.
  11. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds/fg/div Surprisingly enough, the Twins are projected to be an 80 win team right now with no SS and half of a starting rotation.
  12. As expected. Maybe in a different timeline Pierce would have worked out. 7 games in 2 years is a bad first impression. And I don’t mind a bit transitioning from a 30 year old Pierce to a 26 year old Phillips.
  13. Friendly reminder that winning the first day of free agency isn’t always a good thing…
  14. Last time we purged the Bills NT he turned into my favorite player in Pat Williams. Hopefully this one works out just as well.
  15. Pierce is almost certainly a cap casualty with this signing.
  16. I may have missed another transaction, hard to keep up with all of these sports updates! So far I’ve seen Xavier Woods sign a 3 year $15 million deal with Carolina, and Mason Cole sign a 3 year deal with Pittsburgh. Not too worried about it yet. What I am worried about is we’re 2 days away from the new league year, a ton of players are already agreeing to contracts, and we’re still $1.6 million over the cap. Nothing insurmountable, but I’m confused why we’re waiting until the very last minute to be cap compliant. Let alone sign a free agent.
