  1. Did Gardy write this letter in Nick's place? This is exactly the type of logic I'm hopeful will go away with a new manager at the helm. The Twins need to stop yanking the young guys around and give them time to work through slumps. I'd be a lot more concerned if he hadn't hit well in Spring Training but he did so deserves the benefit of the doubt. If Danny is still struggling at the plate and in the field by the first of May then maybe move him down the order a bit. If he's still struggling by the end of May then maybe you send him down to work on some things and try again if he improves in AAA. If he doesn't improve by the end of July it's probably Polanco time. In the mean time he needs to play every day without the stress and pressure of looking over his shoulder/job security concerns. He's probably not going to hit .320 again but my gut says he'll be just fine.
  2. I've never followed soccer but surely pay a bit more attention now, cool idea! The Wolves site needs to happen even though the Cannis Hoopus, A Wolf Among Wolves and Dunking with the Wolves all do a really nice job. Would be interesting to see what you guys could do to further improve Timberwolves coverage. They're going to be very exciting to follow with Rubio, Wiggins and the rest of the young talent as well as KG sticking with the organization in some capacity long term. If you name it T-Wolves Press I'm taking full credit for the name!!!
  3. Sano will control how this goes more than anyone else because he's by far the most talented player. If he doesn't show the dedication to conditioning and defense that the Twins want to see history indicates they'll just keep in in the minors until he cleans those issues up. He's shown in the past that he's nimble and athletic enough to handle the hot corner so every effort should be put into keeping him there. He's got a valuable if underrated player occupying his position on the big league club so there's no rush.
  4. Sadly I believe Suzuki's 2nd half is more representative of what we can expect in 2015 than his first half. He didn't hit for a lot of power in either half however so I'm on board with 3 homers. I also predict that Pinto stays up all year and hits 8 in limited AB's. I just can't give up on Mauer and am giving him the benefit of the doubt after a disappointing 2014. I completely buy the lost offseason and post concussion excuses and feel he'll at least mostly return to form in 2015. That being said, he's never been a power hitter and I don't expect that to change. 11 dingers. Dozier just keeps getting better. I'm going to predict 23 jacks for the 2nd straight year but with an improved average and a few more steals. I predict the evolution of Trevor Plouffe continues in 2015 and he finishes the year with 25 bombs along with further place discipline and defensive improvements making it real hard to promote Sano. Santana showed up with some extra muscle this spring and strikes me as the type of guy who just inexplicably outperforms his minor league track record when he reaches the big leagues. I'm guessing 9 taters. I'm going to arbitrarily put Hunter down for 14 dingers. I think Hicks will have a decent year finally out from under Gardenhire's dog house and with some mentorship from Hunter, I'll say 11 jacks. I predict 24 for Arcia with fewer strikeouts, better average and a few more walks. WAG for Vargas is 22
  5. Long time lurker, first time poster here. This article serves as a perfect opportunity to ask a question I've been wondering about for a few months. So there's a Twins Daily, a Vikings Journal and a Wild Xtra. What about a Wolves Press...name is up for debate of course but you get the idea. The Wolves have such an exciting young core of players and have really been fun to follow since the Love trade. Is there really not enough interest?
