  1. The wave comes around more than every 2 minutes, first. But even so it does have an impact. Things happen in 2 seconds in a baseball game. Miguel Sano's HR yesterday took far less than that. Or if you and all of your buddies are starting the wave you scream the whole "okay 1, 2, 3!!!" over and over until it actually catches on. (happened in section 126 on Friday while I was in 125...it was very annoying) What if while you were eating dinner out with your family I just did cartwheels by your table every minute or so. I mean, my cartwheels are pretty sick and they would last no more than 2 seconds. You'd not be distracted or annoyed? Just because you are okay with being distracted while watching baseball doesn't make it okay to distract the people that are there to watch a baseball game.
  2. It's like being in a movie theater and someone starts playing with their phone right in front of you. Hey, you can't complain. They paid their money and while it might be distracting to everyone who is there watch a movie, they're having fun texting their friends. You can't complain or someone on the internet will tell you to get over yourself. I don't mind the wave so much but I do mind it in the 9th inning of a 3 run game.
  3. I really hope AB Walker is a stud. But find a guy who had a little success in the majors with a .313 OBP in the minors. I'd love to see his comp but I can't find one. Mark Reynolds is a low OBP power hitter. His MLB OBP is .325 but was .360 in the minors. Adam Jones OBP of.321 in MLB but .354 in the minors. How about Pete Incaviglia? .310 in MLB but .367 in the minors. Dave Kingman? .302/.342 I hope I'm wrong in being pessimistic about his big league future but a .290 OBP just doesn't cut it in the big leagues. Maybe he's a one of a kind type of player but if you're betting on one of a kind type players you're going to be wrong every time but once.
