  1. We finished 101-61. I see us winning this game. As long as Berrios does well we can get to Paxton.
  2. I'd so break out my Delmon Young jersey for that night. And yes I have a Delmon Young jersey...
  3. Per Phil Miller of Star Tribune...3:45 CST start time!
  4. No ETA yet but I did hear its finally lightly raining!
  5. I hope the game isn't delayed too long. I want to go to BWW after work and watch it. If it gets too long that random basketball game tonight will make the place too busy. (and yes I know what game is on, just don't care! It's baseball season!!!)
  6. Was gonna say the same thing. I saw the deal pop up on my phone and was like what? So cheap! Love this deal.
  7. I saw the signing the other day but didn't think much of it. Just thought it was another stab at a unknown reliever. I didn't know anything about him until I read this. If he can get even close to his top level he should be able to help the bullpen for sure. Nice work Thrylos!
  8. I don't know how I feel about this yet. I've always been a big fan of Hicks, but we did get a catcher we badly need. Will Murphy been the solution long time? Maybe. Either way so far Ryan is showing he wants to make moves this offseason...and its only November!
  9. Great work Seth! While velocity can help a pitcher, it is not the defining factor of a good pitcher. Despite what people might think. I wouldn't mind seeing the Twins have a flamethrower, but that one thing is not what's keeping this team from being great.
  10. It's going to be interesting if/when we call up Sano. Where will Sano play? There currently is no reason to move Plouffe off 3B. And we already have Mauer and Vargas for 1B. Not a bad problem to have.
  11. I agree with Mike. I've never had any real issues with Gardy, but I am looking forward to a fresh start. Next season is going to be interesting.
  12. I'm going through the same thing. I don't know if I'm going to renew my season tickets. It's getting harder to find people who want to buy games, or even go with me!
  13. He just needs to be shut down for the year. Something isn't right with him and no reason for him to lose his confidence by pitching horribly.
  14. I do believe we have a good young core of players. They need time to play, and most of them are already proving themselves. Yes pitching is a concern. Nolasco had an off year, but you cannot bail on him after one year. Meyer and May need a chance to play to prove they can complete. You can't keep bringing more pitchers in to block them. This is rebuilding. It's taken longer then any of us like, but I think we're finally close. Ohh and ignore anything Common Man says. I may be in the minority but I can't even listen to his show. He drives me nuts.
  15. I agree with troyhobbs. Once he learns he doesn't need to try and pull a ball that's outside, he'll be a complete hitter. That will take time though.
  16. Besides signing another outfielder I think we're set for next year. We already have 6 starting pitchers for 5 spots. I don't see us spending money on any big name pitchers. We need to give some of the young guys a chance.
  17. Grady said he wants to see Hicks prove he can play in AAA before he gets called up here.
  18. We almost have too many starting pitchers...didn't think I'd say that today.
  19. Boston must really want to win the Home Run Derby next year. As for the Twins I hope we keep Suzuki.
  20. No trade pissed me off more then this one. When I first heard we were thinking about trading Hardy U thought they were crazy. His 2010 wasn't even that bad. He was the SS we had been looking for for a long time. And we gave him away for nothing! Hoey was a massive bust. SS is our weakest spot, and the guy we had is killing it in Baltimore. Don't know how long it will take me to get over this one...
  21. Gary Waynes picture...freaky...yet awesome! Great blog as always. Just the humor I needed on this crazy work day.
