My dad and I went to the Miracle game last night and sat right behind home plate. Lewis’s first AB was a rocket to center that was robbed by a great catch by he CFer. He also had a solid two-strike approach, shortening up and putting the ball in play in his second or third at bat with a shallow chopper. The call at first could have gone either way (and the Miracle got a make-up call later that night). He was a collective 12” from a 3-5 night. Such is baseball. Not mentioned in the summary, he looks very mature at SS. Jax only spot of trouble was early in the game after a HBP and another guy got on base. Runners on 1+2 with nobody out, a sharp grounder went up the middle, Lewis ranged far to his left, made a diving stop to start a double play. The range and glove are real, and a few plays in the hole suggest the arm is enough.
