    Astros Hitting

Hitting Stats from various Astros hitters from 2013 to 2019
  2. I'd like to see the bullpen close it out and earn the win outright, but I wouldn't be OVERLY upset if they called it. Would ironically work out in our favor after last night.
  3. Okay hearing the radio call of those two runs felt pretty good. Somebody would have thought they were hearing a playoff game. "TROUT CANT THERE ITS GONNA HOP OFF THE WALL!!!"
  4. I kind of feel as if their first win is going to be very anti-climactic. At 0-4, it would have been "HOORAH!" Now at 0-9, it's going to feel more along the lines of "Oh. Now we're 1-9. Cool." Implied there is my prediction that they will win tonight. One way or another, go Twins!
  5. I do think in a perfect world it would be nice prolonging his bat as long as possible and keeping him at the DH would do that. David Ortiz has had incredible numbers at age 37,38 and 39 and will probably do it once again at age 40. I'm sure this discussion has been had but I didn't see it at the time. Is there no chance of forcing Park to play at right and let him and Kepler fight for playing time? Would he be even worse than Sano in right?
  6. How about the sheer fact that we have reason to even talk about this sort of thing. Would it not be awesome if the Twins had a top Offensive players? Ryan Howard in his prime struck out a lot but would you have not taken his production in his prime years?
  7. Yeah there is nothing hindsight about what happened in the seventh inning last night. A high number of Twins fans foresighted that.
  8. Matt Wieters could potentially become a real possibility. Missed almost all of last year and has missed time this year. Affordable?
  9. I am still justified in being upset because I didn't know this quote existed until now. Ha.
  10. It's just nice to see this from a guy who has probably gotten the most crap in the last year or so (maybe other than he-who-must-not-be-named). hopefully it continues
  11. Right now I like the sound of Rosario-Buxton-Hicks. Maybe Arcia gets shipped before the day is over. The Twins would suddenly have a pretty damn good defensive outfield.
  12. The last piece of his quote as well was basically "it sucks for whoever gets yanked" as if he knows already that is what will happen.
  13. That sounds more like a generalization to me. Who might you be referring to when you speak of "inferior" and "superior" in regards to our current rotation? That's the entire issue, isn't it?

  15. I really enjoyed this article. Through the sheer act of reading written words, my feelings of optimism and positive attitude towards the Twins was raised even higher than it currently is. I think there's something to be said for that.
  16. I honestly feel at this point I would start Hicks in the minors next year and let him stay there until he absolutely proves he should be playing at a higher level. I know there are not many other options but at just pick someone and throw him out there.
  17. There was a day when Babe Ruth was unproven. Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson, Tiger Woods, Bill Belichick, Tony La Russa. Only time will tell. Although let's say the Twins managed to snag some guy who was heralded as the best manager of all time. This guy unfortunately can't go out and pitch a quality start 6 or 7 times a week. I believe to have a great sports team you need the right mix of good coaching and talented players. Time will tell with Moli but we are all well aware of the current "talented player" situation on the pitching staff. Point being, I wouldn't expect a 90-72 season until the Twins have a starting rotation that is respectable. If The Twins go 81-81 I would be extremely sold on Molitor.
  18. Yeah I worry most about the "unlucky" being turned into "injury prone."
  19. The Twins current "mold" is something you are okay with? Maybe that sort of change could be a good thing.
  20. Take a shot. Why not? Even if he is expensive, it would be well worth the potential of quite literally turning the attitude of the club completely around.
