If you offer Dozier for Kemp you ask the Dodgers to foot the bill for a chunk of his salary. It could work as you could move Kemp to a corner OF position once Buxton arrives. Also, if you trade Dozier, you better be ready to welcome Rosario to the lineup at 2B.

Anderson would be a smart addition. You can NEVER have too much pitching or too many options.

Great piece Parker. As you said, location is important, but so is the sequencing of pitches. I've just gotten tired of anybody involved with commenting on the Twins pitching situation continually spouting all the tired old cliches. An in-depth piece like this really shows the reality of the importance of pitch sequencing.

I'm dating myself (56 years old) but my favorite Twins jerseys are the cream-pinstriped heritage jerseys. Maybe it's the memories of Oliva, Killebrew, Tovar etc...in them, but I love the blue lettering and numbers. That said, I've got no idea where GOLD comes into the team color scheme unless Terry Ryan and the Pohlads are going to part with some of their GOLD and sign a bona-fide ACE to the starting rotation. I'll just have to see how they look. But I wish they would wear the "heritage jerseys" at least 3x per week.

Good comments from everyone. My opinion: If we can package Escobar and get a Gee or Niese from the Mets it's time to sell high on EE. We have Polanco, Gorden, and others in the pipeline. Santana at SS with Schafer and Hicks in CF until we square away the timetable for Buxton and Sano is fine with me. You can NEVER have too many pitching options...EVER. And the wild card in this is Rosario. He could be the LF'er sooner than we think. I also don't mind the idea of Joe Mauer in LF either even if he was rated the 2nd best defensive 1B-man in the A.L. using advanced metrics.

Mike Wants Wins is the winner of this thread in my opinion. He's hitting the nail on the head with a lot of other guys checking in with agreement. I for one am fine with canning Gardy. It was time. I also think a complete restructure of the front office is needed but I'm baffled by the Pohlad family's acceptance of CRAP (not just mediocre performance). There is no way they would accept this kind of performance in any other business they own. Because they "don't know baseball" they must feel they are held hostage by the current "brain-trust." What owner wouldn't LOVE a front office that is reluctant to spend money??? My problem with this whole mindset is that we're always dumpster diving. Corriea, Pelfry, Nolasco, Pavano, even Hughes. These guys are not ACES. We need an ACE. Look at the Royals. They had a lot of good young arms coming up but went out and got James Shields. He's their ACE. He makes the entire staff better. We have the ability to add an ACE. This off season it's time to go out and get a Scherzer, Shields, lester, Hamels etc... You can never have too much starting pitching

There is always talk of when Gardy should go. I'm no fan of Gardy. Never have been, never will be. But I was once a fan of Terry Ryan. No more. The continued mismanagement of the 40-man roster. The depressing group think of the front office. I've really had enough. I cannot believe that in all other business interests the Pohlad's have, that they would accept the level of atrociousness we have sunk to. What GM, what front office, what manager and coaching staff could reasonably hope to have their jobs after FOUR...yes FOUR consecutive 90-plus loss seasons. It's the 8th wonder of the world.
