  1. Hilarious - and you really nailed it on Mauer - I wish he wasn't so vanilla - how about a little fire, Joe?
  2. Go back to critiquing podcasts. Oh wait - you're not good at that either!
  3. If the questions is stated in the last sentence of the first paragraph - I'm guessing crickets!
  4. Yeah - I'm one of those who think that this situation needs some pretty drastic actions - and I do not consider the termination of Stelly, et al even a start. Ulger and Liddle probably needed to go - Liddle because of ALL of the base running gaffes - and Ulger because - well, it's Ulger! He's been terrible and they've hidden him for just too long - but he's one og "Gardy's Boys" so maybe it's a step - but it's an Armstrong - (. . . One small step . . . ) But I agree with you - what happens from here on - on the field is most important. Thanks
  5. Great write-up - I don't see a downside for the Twins picking him up - Sounds like a "typical" TR deal -
  6. Agreed - Mitch Williams was an idiot when he played, and not much has changed. Only one I can't listen to more is Tim McCarver. - (Did that sentence make sense?? If it did, then you would do very well as an interpreter in today's world!)
  7. I don't believe the Twins will trade "Mornie" - not saying they shouldn't, just saying the won't!
  8. I like it!!! I have not been a Pavano/Baker/Liriano/Blackburn/Duensing/latest guy to be "stretched out" guy for a long time. True Pavs eats innings, and also true Baker has had flashes of being a MLB pitcher - but for the most part, this bunch has been tender, unreliable. and average. Twins would do well to sign Greinke, and build around him with Hendricks, Wimmers and Gibson. Finally a stopper, and some arms that have that good gas at 92-95 mph. Oh - and while we are at it, maybe a 3rd baser coach who actually understands baseball and the art of baserunning. That will eliminate Liddle and Ulger right there - I'm thinking maybe Molitor or the Dazzle Man - in a "grooming them for the manager's position" mode.
  9. The GOOD thing about Tuesday, April 10th? The Twins DIDN'T lose a game!
  10. .270/.325/.425, 10 HR, 50 RBI first basemen are a dime a dozen! That's a position that needs some pop - I'd say 40/60 he doesn't complete the season. So now we start the AAA parade, and again look at <80 games in the W column. We now have 20-30 max homers coming from our 1B and Catcher. That leaves, . . . well, we might get - Um, . . . Ahhhh,
