  1. As a fellow Iowa resident the blackouts are absolutely insane. I watch or listen to every game, but it's not easy to do. And it's definitely not inexpensive. As a fan, if you want the games to be shorter and more action packed, do you even understand baseball? It's so frustrating that they seem to be catering to a demographic that may not even exist. Another thing Twins need to be better about is advertising that the stadium is in a safe area. Out-of-towners (especially out-of-staters) seem to think they will be robbed and murdered as soon as they enter Minneapolis because of the garbage they hear about the area on the news.
  2. I became a bit of a Braves fan in the playoffs last year, but Mets might be my pick this season. I’d love to see Escobar and May win it all.
  3. Keep him for next year. He’s dependable, fun to watch, a crowd favorite and one of the few that managed to stay healthy this year. Seems to be a great teammate and veteran for young players to look to. Hopefully by the end of next season some of the young guys are healthy and ready to take over, but I don’t count on it for Opening Day.
  4. Braves have Rosario, Grossman, Odorizzi, Adrianza. Mets have Escobar and May. I’ll be watching them after our game ends tonight and in the playoffs! Just realized this was about AL teams - so Berríos and the Blue Jays all the way!
  5. Until the Twins are added I won’t even think about it. If they are added they will probably find some way to blackout those of us in Iowa so I’m not getting my hopes up.
  6. I don’t see us getting anything for Sano, but trading him makes the most sense, there really isn’t a place for him anymore. I’m also ok with letting Kepler go. He should get a good return as long as he stays healthy. Urshela has quickly become a favorite, but if it’s a really, really good deal…I’ll still be pissed. But I’ve been there before and got over it. Please just let me enjoy our one year with Correa. I don’t think anyone is dealing anything worth giving him up.
  7. While I try to remain cautiously optimist about the team and this season, but it's getting harder and harder to not get excited. This team just seems to be clicking and having fun. Yesterday's game was a great example of the fighting spirit we've lacked in the past. Let's put some distance between us and the rest of the AL Central and prep for the harder schedule in the coming months. Let's go Twins!
  8. Love the article Sherry! Our little chat group makes me so happy. Most of my friends and family just aren’t on the same level of fandom as me, with the exception of my dad. And he says “he’s created a monster” with me. I told him there were way worse things to be addicted to! Plus we always have something to talk about. He hates “the big city”, but occasionally I can get him to a game with me.
  9. Kids running the bases on Sundays after the game. Red Cow Bacon Burgers. MN Brews.
